Hello, I tried yo play HOTS ando sometimes I had really bad lag. I moved to a new city, bought a new laptop with a better GPU and I still can´t play. I have high ping normally arround 320 ms and lag spikes about 3 seconds. What can I do to solve it? I love the game but can´t really play it.

Hey, EdmondDantes! Would you know which servers you’re being connected to? Does it help to set the preferred servers in-game? You should be able to set the preferred servers under Options > Language and Region. This will increase the queue time during slow hours, but it should help with the latency if its only happening on certain servers.
If it persists, please include a WinMTR test while running the game for 10-15 minutes. Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

Hey, EdmondDantes! Sorry for the delay here! Thanks for including the WinMTR test. There’s definitely some concerns with the home network here.

There’s a 72% loss, and the average latency is 1049ms. It looks like there may be some protocol issues or the home network devices (router, modem, network adapter) are experiencing issues. After the home network there is a consistent 1-2% loss where the average latency is quite high as well.
Here’s a few suggestions that should help improve the home network connection and hopefully lower overall latency issues.
- Reset the network devices.
- If wireless, try a direct wired connection.
- Reset the TCP/IP and Winsock:
- Right click on your Windows Start Menu, and select “Command Prompt (Admin)” or just search for Command Prompt and right click, run as administrator.
- Now type in or copy and paste, “netsh int ip reset” Press Enter.
- Then do the same for “netsh winsock reset”
Once it’s complete, you’ll need to restart the computer to complete the reset.
