Samuro [rework]

samuro’s fundamental problem is that he has too much functionality in his base kit, so at level 1 he works a lot like a level 20 hero but with his health & damage values dialed down to an appropriate level which makes him utterly worthless if he isn’t utterly unstoppable. A side problem here is that all of his talents have to be, basically, useless. The fix for this is pretty simple; move a lot of his base kit’s utility onto talents and make a lot of his talents baseline.

To begin with – and keep in mind everything “removed” is moved onto talents; Kawarimi and Shukuchi are made baseline & replace his current mirror image, remove the passives from critical strikes and make critting no longer give movespeed to create a less mindless experience playing him (you have to choose between critting and movespeed instead of just using it when it’s off cd with a rock placed on the W key), remove almost everything about the old windwalk and make Way of the Wind and Wind Strider baseline so Samuro doesn’t get bonuses for doing nothing for long periods of time but is rewarded for weaving his stealths into a fight with bursts of healing. Also make both of his ults baseline (everybody should always go illusion master no matter what, and bladestorm is already just straight up a basic ability that you should only take if you don’t know how to use illusion master – and because you aren’t ever taking illusion master if you don’t know how to use it then you are also never getting an opportunity to learn how to use it).

Here’s how he’d look:
D active: Unchanged, except 30 second cooldown.
Trait passive: Quest: Do [thing], every ___ progress decreases the cooldown of Image Transmission down to 8 seconds. Reward: At 8 second cooldown, Mirror Images can be controlled individually or as a group. Passive: Samuro’s and his Images’ Basic Attacks against enemy Heroes increase their Movement Speed by 5%, up to 25%, for 2 seconds.
Q: Teleport a short distance in the direction of the mouse cursor, creating 1 image for 8 seconds in the opposite direction. (No longer cleanses) 9 second cooldown.
W: Unchanged, except does not grant Advancing Strikes and does not proc passively.
E: Grants Stealth for up to 10 seconds and heals for 5% of max health. Gain 20% movespeed for 3 seconds upon entering and exiting stealth. 12 second cooldown.
R: Bladestorm works the same but only lasts for 2 seconds and does less damage and grants armor while damaging an enemy hero. 20 second cooldown.
Z: Create an untalented, mounted and un-dismountable illusion who can be commanded to ride to target location (like a wisp). Can be targeted with Image Transmission. (this one’s here just bc i think it’s a fun idea. Samuro has little reason to ever mount bc windwalk takes no mana so why not just make him a global while we’re at it?)

Talents:
Way of Illusion: Mirror Image now cleanses Samuro and creates 2 images but has increased cooldown. Your basic attacks increase the duration of active images by 1 second. Using Mirror Image while images are active destroys them and heals Samuro for a portion of their remaining health.
Way of the Blade: Critical Strike now happens for Samuro and his images every 4rd attack and also grants Advancing Strike. Additionally, Samuro and his images share their Advancing Strike movespeed bonus.
Way of the Wind: While in stealth, Samuro passively heals for 1% of his max health per second, the movespeed bonus of Advancing Strikes does not expire and Samuro is healed for all damage dealt by his images.

Heroic Talents:
R1: Bladestorm. Samuro now has an energy bar. Upon expiring, Bladestorm’s duration is extended at the cost of 33% of maximum energy per second. The damage and armor granted by Bladestorm are increased by how much energy Samuro has. Energy replenishes at a rate of 2 per second.
R2: Illusion Master. Instantly gain the final reward of Samuro’s Illusion Master quest, gaining full control of his images. Illusions now also have 50% increased attack damage and health.

Other Talents:
Kawarimi (E): Wind Walk creates an image at Samuro’s location that continues doing whatever he was doing, cancels Samuro’s current command and instantly grants Samuro full invisibility & unrevealable for 0.5 seconds. If stationary when unrevealable expires Samuro retains the invisibility.
Shukuchi: (E): Activating Mirror Image within 1 second of activating Wind Walk does not break stealth, grants full invisibility and unrevealable for 1 second. If stationary when unrevealable expires Samuro retains the invisibility. Level 16 so you can take it with Kawarimi.
? (W): Increases the cooldown rate and damage of Critical Strike by 25%, reduced by the movespeed bonus from Advancing Strikes.
Harsh Winds (W): Every second Critical Strike is active while in stealth grants a stack of Harsh Winds. Critically Striking an enemy hero while in stealth damages the target for an additional 12.5% damage per second for every stack. (its neat how Wind Strider makes windwalk & critical strike have perfectly matching cooldowns so you can windwalk for the full duration, hit an enemy with critical strike and then immediately windwalk away again. There is, however, no reason to do this as harsh winds doesn’t benefit the opening strike but attacks that follow it up. Which is all compounded by the fact that… harsh winds is the same talent as crushing blows, but worse. So now it’s different & made to make your opening strike out of stealth just flatly better, as long as you call your shot, and also it removes the target’s ability to mount up to chase you)
