QM matches have finally surpassed regular wait time of 180 seconds on average. This was only 30 seconds just few months ago.
Ranked matches take 10+ minutes to find 1 match, now ARAM is the only option that has less than 1 minute to find a match.

I sometimes play on US (despite being from ANZ, which is a pretty dead region) and noticed they recently removed the mirror game rule even from unpopular heroes.
Weird to see so many mirror matches. I guess they have to do it to make the ques shorter.
But yeah, sadly I see South Korea and Singapore server heading down the way of ANZ, not enough people in those countries left playing.
For folk like us there is no good solution, other than playing on USA/Americas server. EU would be even better but it’s too high ping.

korea is a small country globally, that server will eventually die out completely (only AI and aram will be available without waiting for hours)
so they may as well allow smaller region people to migrate their account to a bigger server free of charge

i have joined USA server but i can feel the delay, it’s not as snappy. I click an ability it fires off a split second later.
But better than Korea. Korean sever is toxic btw, the community is cannibalizing’s itself

Isn’t south korea far more competitive when it comes to gaming? One would assume any online competitive game would be more toxic over there, although I wouldny know sincr im not korean.

yes the skill level is VASTLY different.
Korean servers players are REALLY good at micro, but lack macro knowledge
USA servers I feel they got better macro but lack the micro

I remember playing Dota 2 in Korea. I had an Oracle (pure support) take 100% of the last hits (money) from me and I was playing Weaver (carry who is 100% worthless without money).

It’s true that Korean server people are much more toxic.
Every game someone is very angry and start the “I’m gonna do something to your mom”.
In USA server today yeah my ping is 200ms but people were talking, taking advice and generally friendly without much cursing.
Also there are a lot more bots on Korea servers due to Chinese making accounts to sell them online.
One thing I’ve noticed is NA has less premades and generally yolo style.
Korean servers the players are mostly premades and the ults are almost perfectly coordinated.

Yea I can’t deny that. Ping makes it so stupid to play on US, but we don’t have many options.
I can’t even pick some heroes like Tracer on US because of the ping.
He’s not being racist and he’s not wrong tbh. People RAGE on Korean servers lol and I’m saying this as a Korean who lives in Seoul.
Our general culture is very cut throat from birth. Even the beauty standards have extreme competitiveness.
Hence plastic surgery is almost a requirement for females here.

Thing is in Korea, even beauty is competitive. I live here and I see it. Goto Gangnam (wealthiest zip code in Korea) and who owns all of the large buildings? You guessed it plastic surgeons.
People are very image conscious here, even men wear foundation and it’s very hard to even see obese people, almost everyone is fit/lean.
Moms get their daughters surgery as “graduation gifts” because they have to live up to the beauty standards to get “married” to a well to do man one day and compete with other “good looking” woman.
It’s kinda crazy but it’s true. It’s why you see korean kids here even young as 6 goto school, after school academy, piano school, English school, martial arts all in 1 day every day. And moms even compete talking about how much money they spend on their kids “education”
This is the culture here unfortunately. It’s good and bad because it pushes people to do extraordinary things, but depression and suicide rate is very high here as well

You forgot to mention how middleschool girls save up their allowances to get plastic surgery in their eye region.
I still think this is just the entire nation treating plastic surgery extremely lightly but if you say non-fit people can’t get jobs then I’ll defer to you, an actual current resident, rather than me, an immigrant.

I played on american and korean servers in dota 2 and everyone was equally a flaming game throwing griefing know nothing know it all geniuses who did **** they aren’t supposed to and cost the game. So show me your facts.
Show me how in Korea there are less supports who steal farm from their carries or less afk jungle omniknights who blame the rest of the team for losing map control from his 30minutes of inaction and less pro players who intentionally just feed to end the game quicker and then dodge every game when he has that “genius” on the same team as him.

For starters I was asking a question, the question which was answered by Zeratul, which would by definition of your logic, make him a racist as well. However because he’s korean he gets a pass right? That’s what passes for logic these days right?
Pick up a darn dictionary. Go learn the definitions of words and how they are applied. If you don’t know ask. However your response was completely uncalled, and antagonistic and terminates any possibility of discussion before it even happens.
For somebody to be racist or xenophobic they would have to displace some form contempt or disdain towards that particular group of people. I did not do that.
Being more competitive is not an insult and I have absolutely no idea why you would treat it like it’s “hate speech.” It simply boggles my mind.
