This post helped.
It was either the login items, or resetting my router. Unfortunately, I did both at the same time. So I can’t pinpoint the issue. Either way, hots is running a lot faster and this post helped me get rid of some background login items that I didn’t want active anyways and was slowing down my Mac in general.
