I actually came on here to suggest this exact thing! I LOVE Rag but he is so limited in skin colors. There is an ice or frozen Rag emoji in game, so an Ice Rag would be excellent. I would also like to see a green Fel Rag, and a Purple shadowflame or dark nexus Rag with an accent of that awesome neon magenta color they use in some of the effects. Please Dev Gods, it would be superfly. I’d buy it without question. <3

My favourite idea from the old forum was “Pixel Ragnaros”.
Unfortunatly, I can’t copy the idea word by word, so i try to talking about by my own immagination. Perhaps it was “Virus Ragnaros”

So, Ragnaros have a beutifull hammer and around him lava.
Around him the lava could be make from pixels what flies up to Ragnaros. (pixels are technically would look a like some cube) A litlle similar to “Golden nexus charger mount” just go farer from Ragnaros.
The hammer color would looks a like little circles together really close, and change the color by the place. I mean the stick part of the hammer could be brown and the Iron part could be red and the spiked part of the iron could be green. and… probably you can immagine what do i want to say.

Fel Fire rag would be dope and so would shadowflame rag. but I would like to see them add other elemental lords as skins for him like thundraan, al’kir, ahuune , therazane, and my fav neptunlon. They could even make it an event where you support or fav element and get a skin for it.

but… Rag dosen’t even have anything that even resembles gul’dan’s physically other then lava wave
and if you’re mistaking a full lava wave to Gul’dan’s blast then… I don’t know what to say.

Bumping this post. Where are the Ragnaros Skins, Blizzard? I know we won’t be able to buy skins with gems soon, but hey can we get a skin for our Firey Boy?

Even Classic WoW is coming soon, and Ragnaros in his resplendent glory, has not received something worthy of his stature and respect. I weep incessantly at the tragedy that has befallen us.

As Ragnaros clearly, states: “As the Old Gods Demand” and your current WoW expansion is focusing somewhat on an Old God so a quick nod… eh?

I am sorry for this ramble.

TL:DR: We need a new Ragnaros Skin, as the Firelord Calls…

I am bumping this thread. I logged in today. Got a slew of 6.5 year rewards. I see classic skins, plenty of cool skins. No ragnaros. Why? Do you hate him? I want answers.

They’ve talked about this before on reddit. A skin for rag would be a lot more work than for other heroes.

Needless to say, I definitely wouldn’t expect a rag skin…ever. There’s just too few resources at this point.

Here it is:

It’s something the team would love to do, but the biggest hurdle for Ragnaros is the heavy load of FX work associated with him. The model recolor would be easy to handle but FX would not only have to touch a myriad of FX, they would also be on the hook for maintenance of those skins should any issues arise. At the end of the day we have to consider whether or not the resources spent for a single Raganaros skin/recolor is more meaningful to our players when the time could have been used for multiple new skins or recolors instead. It’s a balancing act, but one that we would eventually love to make the time for.
