New Hero Suggestions & Edits

Dearest Blizzard,

I offer you the following fantastic additions to Heroes Of The Storm’s Nexus:

= CHARACTERS

† Han & Horner: Their abilities build off of one another (like Cho-Gal as separate characters).

= Han: Inside a Reaper suit that alternates shooting from each hand for a Basic Attack.

[Q] Frag Grenade: Causes Knockup after short period of time. [Talents: Causes Stun, Also causes Knockaway, Kills grant bonus exp, Gain multiple Charges but increase overall Cooldown, Can stick to Horner]

[E] Leap-Frog: Leap far away (cannot leap a short distance). [Talents: Increase Movement Speed afterwards, Increased range, Can jump shorter distance, Kills within X seconds resets Cooldown, Leaping to Horner grants them both Armor]

[W] Stimpack: Consume Health to increase Range & Attack Speed. [Talents: Nearby Allies affected, Horner affected regardless of location, Activate (1) to make it boost Attack Damage, Movement Speed, or Armor {3 different Talents}.]

[R1] Satellite Drop [Talent: Satellite releases mini-fighters]

[R2] Spikey Mines [Talent: Mines ignore obstacles]

Trait: Has no mount, but can ride on Horner {which is his Passive}. Automatically leaps over terrain. [Talents: Escape has no cost if leaping to Horner to mount him, Activate thrusters to temporarily Boost Movement Speed {but can’t Attack while active, Abilities ok}, Nearby Enemy Heroes drop Regen Globes when they die.]

= Horner: Inside a Hellion that shoots out jet-streams of fire for a Basic Attack.

[Q] Cable-Hook: Launch a cable at target Enemy, Rooting them & allowing you to drag them from that position. Retriggering causes you to surge towards its location, breaking the Root. [Talents: Causes Knockback, Kills Reduce Cooldown, Shoot a second cable out (quest reward) retriggering requires you to click which target you want to hit first as you can hit both targets if done quickly enough, Shooting Han pulls her back towards you]

[E] Dashing Flame: Shoot a huge flame in a direction, Knocking you the other way based on the duration of the charge. [Talents: Hitting an Enemy Hero with your body Stuns them, Knocks them Back, Fire can cause DOT, Increase Range spectrum, Hitting Han causes her to catch on fire & deal DOT in a small AOE]

[W] Micro-Drone: Mark nearby Enemies for bonus Damage. [Talents: Enemies deal Less Damage, Heal Allies, Increase Ally Mana Regen, Grant lowest Health Ally Hero Shield upon arrival, Deal AOE Damage upon its destruction, Can send to Han’s position]

[R1] Precision Strike [Talent: Gain a 2nd charge & reduce Cooldown]

[R2] Tailspin: Do a donut, dealing Knockback. [Talent: Leave behind a flaming trail that deals DOT]

Trait: Han can ride on Horner as a mount, since he is one. [Talents: Armor while being ridden, Han can activate her abilities & attack while riding, Nearby Allies drop Regen Globes when they die.]

† Tosh: Returned from the dead, Tosh is a ranged Specialist/Assassin that capitalizes on destroying the Enemy’s Mana by strafing back & forth across the map. His comeback has left him with several new abilities that most Spectres wouldn’t normally have, personifying the notion of the undead creatures that they’re named after even more so. Whether it’s revealing Enemy territory & locations to your team or deploying fellow Spectres from the clouds above, Tosh epitomizes the notion that “The best defense is a devastating offense.” He brings a new dynamic of Stealth-tech to the battlefield, relying more on the power of the shadows, than invisibility. One very unique strategy is to spend the pathway up to level 20 depleting as much Enemy Mana as possible, so that you can unlock a talent that allows you to stick E.M.P.s to your Allies equal to the number of charges you’ve accumulated thus far.

  • Basic Attack: Puff-Puff: Rifle Double-Shot [each deals Equal Damage].

[Z] Spectre’s Secret: Instead of having a mount, Tosh transforms himself into a mass of shade that can pass through obstacles.

[Q] Black Magic Blade: Leap towards Enemy unit & stab them with a hidden dagger, dealing 182 Damage. All Damage that Enemy unit deals for 5 seconds to ANY UNIT Heals Tosh for 18% of the Damage Dealt. {30 Mana, Cooldown: 10 Seconds}

[W] Shadowborn: Become un-targetable, while completely visible. Lasts 3.5 seconds. {50 Mana, Cooldown: 8 Seconds}

[E] E.M.P.: Detonate a wide-spread pulse that Damages Enemy Health & Mana by 105. {35 Mana, Cooldown: 12 Seconds}

[R1] Spectre Drop: Drop a Spectre which deals half your Basic Attack Damage & has its own set of conditional A.I. Abilities: Static Shot: Every 15 seconds, the next Basic Attack against an Enemy Hero Stuns them. “I’m Out!”: Once 50% Health reached, temporarily become Stealthed. Smoke Bomb: If 4 or more Enemy units are nearby, release a Smoke Bomb, causing Blind & dealing 50 damage every second to Enemies trapped inside radius. {55 Mana, Cooldown: 85 Seconds}

[R2] Eye See You Reveal target Enemy indefinitely [until either you or they die]. {60 Mana, Cooldown: 35 Seconds}

Trait: Death Defy: The longer Tosh stays alive, the faster his Movement Speed becomes, increasing by increments of .2% every 4 seconds.

~ TALENTS ~

= LEVEL 1

  • A - Take ‘Dis!: Upon reaching Critical Health, your next Basic Attack will fire an E.M.P. instead, dealing Damage equivalent to both shots at once & detonating around target Enemy.
  • B - Dread Locked: Causes E.M.P. to Stun the nearest Enemy Hero, Summon, Monster, Mercenary, or Minion [in that order].
  • C - Ghost-Killer: Black Magic Blade deals 100% more Damage to Enemy Heroes you’ve already Taken Down. Killing them restores the Ability’s Cooldown.
  • D - Smoked: Quest: Kill each Hero at least once. Reward: Spectre’s Secret causes you to deal 90 Damage every 0.5 seconds to Enemies you pass through.

= LEVEL 4

  • A - Just One More Shot: Your Basic Attack’s second shot over-penetrates to hit one more Enemy.
  • B - Now You See Me…: While Spectre’s Secret is active, after passing through an obstacle, gain 10% Movement Speed for 1 second.
  • C - Death Dealer:* Activate [D] to spend your acquired Death Defy bonus to Damage target Enemy for 3x the % of their Max Health.

= LEVEL 7

  • A - Back From ‘De Dead: Upon resurrecting, gain a 40% boost to Movement Speed for 4 seconds.
  • B - …Now You Don’t: While Spectre’s Secret is active, becomes cloaked for 8 seconds after passing through an obstacle.
  • C - Jonesin’ For Jorium: Every 3rd Basic Attack returns 5% of the amount of damage dealt as Mana. If you’re at full Mana, the excess radiates off of you towards the nearby Ally with the least amount of Mana.
  • D - Voodoo Style: Instead of Movement Speed, Attack Speed is increased.

= LEVEL 10

  • A - Spectre Drop: Drop a Spectre with its own set of conditional A.I. abilities: Static Shot: Every 15 seconds, the next Basic Attack against an Enemy Hero Stuns them. “I’m Out!”: Once 50% Health reached, temporarily become Stealthed. Smoke Bomb: If 4 or more Enemy units are nearby, release a Smoke Bomb, causing Blind.
  • B - Eye Sees All: Reveal every Enemy Hero on the Map for 35 seconds.

= LEVEL 13

  • A - Sweet Revenge: Taking Down a Hero who killed you restores your Health & Mana by 15%.
  • B - Spotless Storm: Kills while Shadowborn is active add a stack to Death Defy.
  • C - Stormless: Kills while Shadowborn is active reduce all Cooldowns by 20%.

= LEVEL 16

  • A - Song Of The Spectre: [Active] The next time you deal Damage to an Enemy Hero, they are Silenced. {Cooldown: 45 Seconds}
  • B - Off The Record: [Active] Remove any Status Ailment. Can cast on any Ally. {Cooldown: 30 Seconds}
  • C - Taste Of Terrazine: [Active] Temporarily increase Vision Radius by 50% & Mana Regen by 100%. {Cooldown: 50 Seconds}
  • D - Mind Piercer: Black Magic Blade Reduces Enemy’s Mana upon contact for 75% of the Damage dealt.

= LEVEL 20

  • A - Infiltrate: While a Spectre is on the ground, once 11 nearby Enemy Units die, another Spectre drops. This is indefinite.
  • B - Eternal Eye: Reduce Cooldown 10 & Ability lasts beyond death.
  • C - Tosh’s Goons: [Passive] Mercs acquired by Tosh [must deal damage to them & then your team has to captures them] deal Bonus Damage, regardless of his proximity to them.
  • D - ‘Dere Ya Go!: [Active] Can stick target Ally with an E.M.P. once you’ve depleted 1000 Enemy Mana. This Talent creates stacks of E.M.P.s that can be stored, calculating the amount of Enemy Mana you’ve depleted throughout the course of the entire game. {Cooldown: None}

~ TALENT TREE STRATEGIES ~

  • Anti-Mana: 1A/1B, 4A, 7C/7D, 10A, 13A, 16D, 20D
  • Mount: 1D, 4B, 7A/7B, 10B, 13B, 16B, 20B
  • Damage: 1C/1D, 4A/4C, 7D, 10A, 13C, 16A/16C, 20A/20C

~ STATS ~

  • Basic Attack: 63 + 63 = 126 + 6 Per Level = 222 @ Level 20
  • Range: Similar to Tychus
  • Max Health: 1990 + 71 Per Level = 3339 @ Level 20
  • Health Regen: 4.13 + .147 Per Level = 6.92 @ Level 20
  • Max Mana: 536 + 28 Per Level = 1068 @ Level 20

† Bornu: A Samurai Bruiser who can switch between Melee & Ranged attacks & abilities by alternating between his sword & his bow. [Nexus Hero]

  • Sword Abilities:
    [Q] Bow Style: Switch to Bow & Arrows.

[W] Blades Of Fury: Increase Attack Speed from 1 per second to 1.5 per second for 4 seconds.

[E] Samurai Armor: Generate a shield worth 10% of his Max Health for 5 seconds.

[R] Bushido Lore: Increase Damage by 100%.

  • Bow Abilities:
    [Q] Splitting Arrow: Shoot an arrow that splits in two, moving diagonally away from each other.

[W] Phase Out: Increase Movement Speed by 25%.

[E] Sword Style: Switch to Sword.

[R] Bull’s Eye: Shoot an arrow that Damages & Stuns the first Enemy Hero hit, piercing them & Dealing 20% less Damage & Stunning for 20% less time for each Enemy Hero hit.

Trait: If Bornu attacks the same Enemy more than once, he deals an additional 5% Damage each time.

  • Some Talents:

Level 1: Add a 3rd arrow to Splitting Arrow that travels between the other 2.
Level 4: Increase Attack Speed of Blades Of Fury to 2 Basic Attacks per second.

Level 7: Add either 10 Armor, 20 Physical Armor, or 20 Spell Armor to Samurai Armor.

Level 13: Phase Out allows you to move through terrain.

Level 16: If one Enemy Hero is Damaged by all arrows from Splitting Arrow, refund Mana Cost, or reduce Cooldown by 50%.

Level 20: Increase Bushido Lore Damage by 50%, or cause Bull’s Eye to deal 15% less Damage & Stun time.

† Droney: A Zerg Drone that acts much like Probius except in its own, sweet way.

[Z] Instead of a mount, Droney simply has a much higher Movement Speed.

[Q] Gather: Causes (Melee) Basic Attacks to drain both Health & Mana (can only be done while in Drone Form).

[W] Hydralisk: Temporarily transform into a Hydralisk for increased Damage & Range.

[E] Roach: Temporarily transform into a Roach for increased Health & Range.

[R1] Lurker: Temporarily transform into a Lurker (can only be done while in Hydralisk Form).

[R2] Spine Crawler: Temporarily transform into a Spine Crawler.

Trait: Reduce spawn time.

=EDITS=

† Alexstrasa: Replace the talents which benefit her at high health, which are strategically counterproductive with her “Q” ability, with:

  • Hastened Benediction: Increases the speed at which “W” resolves.
  • Enchanted Blare: Causes “W” to deal damage to Enemies inside.
  • Secret Life: Reduces health cost of “Q” when at low health.

† Guldan: Talent to cope with the loss of the AOE of Diablo’s “W”,

  • Crossfire: Causes Fel Flame to release 3 additional bursts: one on either side of you & one behind.

† Sonya: With the addition of Qhira, maybe change Sonya’s “D” ability to a simple leap?

Very nice suggestions ! And very detailed. Although some of your suggested heroes seems to have recycled spells from other heroes in the game. Also for casual players it would be much better to introduce more popular heroes from the Blizzardverse. There are still many unused characters from Warcraft (Velen, Cairne/Baine, Mekkatorque) from Diablo (Druid, Assasin, Paladin classes / Duriel, Baal, Andariel) and also from Overwatch. You are obviously a huge Starcraft fan, but you must realize that Starcraft is not that popular and the characters are not known much among casual playerbase. The whole idea of HOTS is based on playing the popular heroes that wide playerbase know and recognize.
