NEW HERO: Girth - Tank\Support

Hello! My name is Dmitriy. Glad to present you my new character concept.

Hero: Girth
Class: Tank\Support

Preface:

Girth himself discovered the Nexus and participates in it to work on self-control skills. Girth is a character who uses surrounding potentials to transform them into magical skills.

While getting acquainted with talents, it may seem that the character is too strong, but keep in mind that only one talent is chosen on each tier. And if you do not stick to synergistic builds, then the abilities will be mediocre. But if you choose synergistically, the character will be specialized, and not universal. I am a supporter of the correct game balance. Each character must have cons and counter-picks.

Resources:

Health – 2310 basically hit points.

Magnetic Energy – Instead of Mana, Girth uses Magnetic Energy. Maximum stock 100 units. It accumulates when a character is in battle for more than 1 second, as well as with his auto attacks. If the accumulated magnetic energy is not used for more than 20 seconds - it gradually dissipates at a rate of 10 units per second.

\\ Abilities:

Q – “Magnetic Sphere” - Throw in the selected direction energy charge, which slightly follows the mouse pointer. Hitting the first enemy, the sphere deals 225 units of damage. Buildings and catapults take 50% less damage. Cost - 35 units of magnetic energy. Cooldown: 8 seconds.

-Quest 1: Hit the enemy heroes with the ability 15 times.

-Reward 1: The degree of following the released sphere behind the mouse pointer will increase by 300%.

-Quest 2: Hold the sphere in flight for 12 seconds.

-Reward 2: The range of the ability will increase by 20%.

W – “Magnetic Blast” - Deals 250 damage to enemies in the area in front of them, push them back and slows down by 30% for 1.5 seconds. Cost - 60 units of magnetic energy. Cooldown: 15 seconds.

E - “Accumulation” - After activation, the character begins to receive 4 units of magnetic energy per second for each ally and enemy that is in the field of the ability. Duration time - 3 seconds. Cooldown: 8 seconds.

D – “Mirror Barrier” - Passive: Increases auto attack speed by 5% for each hero near the Girth. When activated, the ability gives 8 units of armor for 4 seconds for each hero that fell into the field of the ability at the time of activation. Cost - 30 units of magnetic energy. Cooldown: 40 seconds.

R1 – “Dissolution” - After 1.5 seconds activation, it makes the selected obstacle or hero transparent. If the target is an allied or enemy hero, reduces the damage taken and the damage caused by 70%. Transparency allows you to pass through obstacles and other heroes. Duration time - 3 seconds. Cost - 45 units of magnetic energy. Cooldown: 90 seconds.

R2 – “Source” - After activation, for 6 seconds, all allied heroes who are in the field of action, use their abilities due to Girth’s magnetic energy in the ratio: 10 mana per 3 units of magnetic energy. Cooldown: 120 seconds.

\\ Talents:

— 1 level

1) “Residual Potential” - The ability [Q] can hit 4 times, but the damage with each subsequent time is reduced by 25%.

2) “Redistribution” - Reduces the cost of the ability [W] by 15 magnetic energy units, increases damage by 10% and increases the blast range by 35%.

3) “Accumulation Balancing” - Increases the range of [E] by 20% and reduces the cooldown by 2 seconds.

4) “Capacity” - Increases the maximum amount of possible magnetic energy by 20 units.

5) “Body Enhancement” - Increases the maximum health by 1 unit for the end of the match for every 10 units of generated magnetic energy.

— 4 level

1) Active ability – “Kinetic Dash” - When activated, increases the speed of attack and movement of the character by 15%, and auto attacks begin to cause damage over the area. Duration time - 4 seconds. Cost - 30 units of magnetic energy. Cooldown: 10 seconds.

2) Active ability – “Manifested Currents” - When activated, increases the amount of magnetic energy received from all sources by 15% for 8 seconds. Cooldown: 80 seconds.

3) Active ability – “Portable Generator” - Places in the selected place a generator that accumulates 2 units of magnetic energy per second from the surrounding space. Maximum stock 200 units. The ability has only 1 charge for the entire match. In one click, Girth extracts 20 units of magnetic energy. The time of existence of the generator is not limited, but its strength is 1500 hit points.

4) Passive ability – “Consolidation” - Ability D gives 2 units more armor for each hero. The use of the ability creates an explosions that deals 40 damage per second to all enemies near the character.

— 7 level

1) Quest: “Spheres Expansion” - Deal with [Q] 2200 damage. Reward: The size and damage of the magnetic spheres will increase by 20%

2) Quest: “Wave Discipline” - Drop the ability of [W] enemy heroes 15 times. Reward: The ability can be reapplied for 2 seconds to draw Girth in a wave to an ally or allied structure. If the enemy is in the way, he will take 100 points of damage.

3) Quest: “Resource Management” - Accumulate 1500 units of magnetic energy. Reward: Increases next one auto attack damage by 20% if all basic abilities are in cooldown.

4) “Average Potential” - Increases transport speed by 15%.

— 13 level

1) “Double Salvo” - After application, after 0.75 seconds, the ability [Q] releases next the second sphere, which also begins to strive for a pointer. The size and damage of the second sphere is 30% less. Increases the cost of 5 units of magnetic energy.

2) “Fullness” - Damage from auto attack increases by 15% if the character currently has more than 50 units of magnetic energy.

3) “Mirror Presence” - Extends the effect of the received armor on ability D by 0.5 seconds for every 150 units of damage taken. Increases attack speed by an additional 2%.

— 16 level

1) “Mass Stabilization” - If the [W]-ability hits 3 or more enemy heroes, the effect of silence is imposed on them for 1.5 seconds.

2) “Magnetic Resonance” - Reduces the cost of magnetic energy to use [W] by 15 units.

3) “Recharging” - While [E] is active, all warriors and allied heroes in the field of action restore 1.5% of their maximum health per second.

4) Active ability – “Energy Transformation” - Creates a sphere of regeneration at the specified location. Cost - 35 units of magnetic energy. Cooldown: 40 seconds.

— 20 level

1) [R1] – “Certainty” - If a character currently has more than 70 units of magnetic energy, the “Dissolution” ability will be applied instantly and at no cost.

2) [R2] – “Flux” - The ability no longer spends the character’s magnetic energy when allied heroes use their abilities during its action. If the field of action is 2 or more allied heroes, Girth replenishes health in the amount of 5% of the damage they cause during the effect of the ability [R2].

3) [R1] and [R2] – “Continuum” - Increases the range of ultimate abilities by 20% and reduces their cooldown time by 30%.

4) “Perfection” - Reduces the cooldown on basic abilities by 25%.

5) “Jackhammer” – Passive increases auto attack speed by 25%.

Hey Dmitriy, welcome to the forums! While I don’t have time to give you a full review on your concept, I did want to give you a heads up that your links weren’t working for me. I think its a server hosting issue, due to the difference in countries.

Are the two characters you made from certain existing universes, or from scratch?

This characters made by me from scratch, especially for HoTS and for its gameplay :slight_smile:

To all readers: please, if you want to get acquainted with the concepts - read carefully and imagine these ideas in different game situations. The logic and sense is thought out and really interesting, take your time. A cursory reading, as usual, does not give the intended result.

But it looks real promising.
The “curve-ball” mechanic of “Magnetic Sphere” (Magni-sphere?) seems unique and nothing I can think of in this game. Reminds me of the Flameburst spell in the old Dark Messiah game.
Love that idea!

The models are well made. Hard to get the visual impact he could carry without the colours, ofcourse.

In general, a really cool original charachter.

Got to ask though, why put this much effort into posting an “OC” in here?
Not trying to be negative! There is a lot of creative spirit in here. Just curious, since "OC"s are obviously not something that will be added into the game.
