My own team sabotages me

I usually play Kel’Thuzad. I can destroy anything with my combos. Problem is that most of the people has 3 neurons. You know how Ktz works, if you connect the combo perfectly you deal an inmense damage. But if I fail, the damage is zero, literally.

My own team plays against me the whole match. This game is plenty of Diablos, Lucios, Stukovs, and a large etc., pushing the enemy out of my areas every damn time they can.
Even when they see me throwing the ult (the iceball) with enough time to notice it and stay quiet, they move the enemy and ruin my one-shot combo.
I usually try to tell them to dont do it, but you know how people are in this game.

At least, if they moved the enemy for a good reason, it would be ok for me. But no, most of the people in this game use their skills randomly, with no intention at all. And the enemy runs back and survives.

At this point, what should I do? I am very good with Ktz, and it would be a shame if I have to stop playing it because my own teammates are usually against me.

People in casual MMR just spam abilities with no strategic thought, just because they were off cooldown.

Where is the news?

(My favorite is getting Crystal Aegis just as I find an opening to mosh pit 4 enemies)

My absolute favorite thing in the world is getting revived in the middle of the enemies team. Nothing like dying twice in 15 seconds to really make you feel like you’re ALIVE!

Adapt to their play styles instead of forcing them to adapt to yours.

I suggest playing SL more. Not neccessarily because it will have better experience for you. Not at first. Yet you can gather friends whom you notice are way less terrible in their behavior and then choose to queue with them. In addition QM and SL has separate MMRs even if your starter rating in SL is decided by your QM stats. This means over the time you’ll rank up and escape this environment thus preferably experience nicer matches. This will not impact your QM matchmaking though.

… Alternatively it turns out you can’t get out of your rank and then realize that while you may be pretty decent on your combos there are other aspects that would need fixing. So rather than blaming your team you can try to work that out.

What? Ktz combos are brutal so he should just do nothing while his team spams abilities with no focus? Look at this:

There’s no adapting to random ability spam with no focus or thought.

Keep playing him and try to find people who actually know how to play with a Ktz. Being good at Ktz takes time and it sucks getting teammates that refuse to let you do what he does best and make their lives easier.

Basicly this.
If your team doesnt waveclear then do it
If your team is more soaking. Then try to stall and give them as much time as you can give them

Adept instead of blame

No.

They know they are playing with a Ktz. I wont stay doing nothing when I should be doing combos just because my teammates are brainless.

I dont play this game to carry others as you suggest me.

The thing that separates a “good” ktz from a “very good” ktz is to know not to pick them with lucio/diablo/stukov etc…

Captain obvious.

If you were as intelligent as you think you are, you would understand that that’s exactly what Im saying. Many heroes can move objectives, almost in every match, and I doubt if I have to stop playing Ktz or not.
You are welcome.

you say it’s obvious and yet you’re still creating a thread complaining about it, presumably, because the thing you just mentioned being obvious is the very thing you’re ignoring?

huh.

I hate to break it to you but that is literally how it works when you’re dealing with QM / Brawl / low rank SL. For the QM & Brawl you just have to grin and bear it because these modes are the wild west. Random comps and skill are part of the package you sign up for playing these modes. Hoping for consistency or quality in these modes is going to quickly lead to frustration.

For SL the only thing you can do is try to climb up as soon as you can where situations should improve, although one tricking it also a recipe for disaster.

I read what he said. Problem is, people aren’t random. There’s a reason for everything; if they’re popping it because its off of cd that is an reason, albeit, not a good reason but still a reason.

Where did I say this? Please quote me on it, if i didn’t say this, quit pulling stuff out of your butt.

I said to adapt his playstyle. Which means that, if that stupid dibbles just uses his charges and flips because he simply can, they he should wait until he does so he can prepare for his combo afterwards. Is it a good strat? Perhaps not, but it’s better option than him attempting his combo just so he can have it messed up by his teammate, Big-Red.

Whether you like it or not, he has no choice but to adapt. That’s part of being good. Sometime Zagara split pushes all game. Can you still win? You sure can, you just have to find a way to do so. It’s frustrating, irritating and every other synonym you can think of, but you have to adapt whether you like it not. Derps will be derps. He has to find a way to land his combo with moronic allies, which means adapting.

Finally you caught up to our masterplan. Muhahaha :japanese_goblin: sometimes its really hard with the timing to boop them away

We do this in order to make you the best ktz in the world. If you can even carry with a team sabotaging you. You can do everything!

Best post all year on these forums !

The feels…

How about this one. You are playing the Butcher. You use ruthless onslaught>stun> drop lamb to the slaughter. Noobiablo (Diablo) throws Anduin or charges him out of the range of Lamb to the slaughter. Anduin then proceeds to drop his ulti resulting in the enemy team being healed. This then changes the team fight in the enemy’s favor and they wipe your team.

How about being Jaina and etc just pushes people out of your E and w all day.

Better yet your Orphea and u land an eternal feast + 5 man mosh pit Yurel comes up and knocks the whole team out of it… Believe me, its happened!

Your soloing the boss as the butcher, Your moving out of the way to avoid its stun. Your teammate Naz comes up uses zombie wall resulting in you getting stunned and dying.

Realize who you’re playing with. You didn’t mention rank, since it doesn’t matter anyway.

It’s annoying yes, but don’t expect everyone to know your hero. KTZ is a lot of skill shots. Not that easy to play, and not desirable to learn.

Yup, because displacement is extremely useful. You should be following the lead of the tank, not the tank following your precious combos. The none tanks who use displacement to move them out of your combos, was it completely wasted? Did you take advantage of their skills?

I was playing OW as Mei 1 year in of its release. I held the pay load near the their starting point i Dorado for 2-3 straight minutes. The Pharah complained I was blocking there ult. I switched to some other hero. We lost immediately, and asked the team to thank the Pharah for the loss.

I’m not saying your situation doesn’t happen, but you have to realize who your teammates are. The players that don’t care deserve the loss.
