I hate it. I do. Just coming out of a match.
I was the 5th person and all my other teammates were in a group. Enemies were all random.
Remember when Blizzard said that MMR would take this “group advantage” into consideration for finding the match? Damn sure it does! My mates brawled as 4 the entire time, causing us to fall behind quickly. The got hit by every aoe imaginable and went in the enemy team 2v5 while at half hp.
Meanwhile, the enemy team had a (what it felt) 300 apm Korean Genji, Li-Ming with aimbot and Raynor who played this char since alpha. [<- this is an exaggeration; what I mean here is that the enemies were out of our league, you would think a middle school football team would try their luck in the super bowl]
I think his point is that mixing 5 man groups and 5 randos is not a great design and I agree, it sure feels that way. When you solo queue and end up against a pre-made you are pretty much doomed if they are at all competent.
This is a scenario where access to comprehensive game stats would be useful. It feels like this scenario always results in a one-sided win for the pre-made, but… does it really? It’s impossible to know because we have no data to look at and Blizzard makes no attempt to explain their macro design decisions (AFAIK).
What I do in these scenarios is; First - Play hard and hope your teammates are up to the task. Second - If the loss becomes inevitable (throwers, quitters, etc.), treat it as a training exercise and work on your positioning, practice stealing XP from them, etc.
Every now and then I read here on the forums that a premade had a significant communication advantage due to voice, better synergy, knowing each other.
Enemis are of better rank? Doesn’t matter at all, voice comm >>> everything!
Well, apparently not.
Did you even read my original post? This is about the fact that the premade lost against randoms because the randoms were significantly higher skilled.
I would not join the in-game Team Voice on a bet. The stupidity in chat is already out of control, why would I try to speak with those people directly. However, I play every day on discord with other people and it is a definite advantage.
So, voice comms can be an advantage, but only when the people you are on voice comms with are there to cooperate. i.e. NOT a bunch of randos on Team Voice.
I hate 4 man premade if they are on my team. Nearly everytime i get one they dont do s…t whole game. Just ignore lanes and dont take camps and never use chat.
Sometimes i dont get why they cant be bothered to find the last 5 member instead of wasting the solo ques time. Also getting 5 man premade teams vs full random should never or rarely happen as i recall from the last changes done on that part.
5 man premade teams should only happen when team have 3 or more in a party but lately i have seen 5 man team up against 2 man party or full random so did those party rules blizzard made 2 years ago suddenly got deleted or what. Also it does not help anything more when matchmaker same time give the 5 man team a enemy team with 0% win chance on top of that.
It’s you that got frustrated about something - What it takes to frustrate someone is very individual. If you want to be less frustrated you could just work on your self (psychologically). I am not playing a video game to get frustrated and i almost never get frustrated.
What’s so wrong about losing to a better team? Are you always mad when you have bad teammates? If this is the case you should probably not play a team game?
Everyone will get into bad teams from time to time unless you bring your own
If i would have been in your situation i would just brawl mid with the team and die when they die as well. Putting a lot of effort into a match like this will most likely be pointless. Game will be over fast and i can get into a new one. Play seriously when you have serious players in your team - troll if you have trolls in your team
A lot of premades intentionally troll their friends, so that’s what might have been happening. Nothing like throwing your friend who’s an alarak with 180 sadism into the enemy team as gar and hearing his screams of anguish as you just mount and lave tbh.
