Because heroes I enjoy playing have been suboptimal for the longest time with irrelevant tweaks to them and those that have been decent have gotten nerfed, but not even that is as horrid as the matchmaking that puts a couple hundred MMR lower players in my games that in either team just ruins the game. I’d rather not play the game at all than have some of those games

I’m playing less because the things that made this game unique have been disappearing over the years.
Stealth, specialists, nerfs or reworks to interesting abilities, etc.
Game is becoming increasingly more homogenized and more of an ARAM brawl than a map with 3 lanes.
In the game’s golden age, the game used to feel unique depending on the hero you were playing but I find that in contemporary times, each game feels like the last, regardless of which hero is played.
Sure, there are rock-paper-scissor counters to each game, especially in QM but for the most part, it’s all just a brawl.

45:35 it gets to the point when matches are super even all the time after a while it actually get kinda tiring…so i come up with the opinion that its ok to allow a little bit of balance here and there and have a mix of even hard and easy matches.

I pretty much stopped playing… all the things i one loved about the game are gone…
Fewer talents and no diversity resulting in too many one trick boring heroes, and no way to counter them out of draft.
Cc meta getting out of hand for too long.
Supports became more like healbots.
All the laning, ammo changes, specialists are gone, especially the unique ones.
No macro anymore, just teamfights.
Bad new maps and ruined old ones.
Mm got even worse, so rank play is dead for like tow years.
I was playing since beta tlv patch, and i still have hopes that they will drastically change the game, and undo so many bad things. New chromie seems like a step in the right direction. (Havent played though)

I quit because this game isn’t getting improved. Community not being as active as it used to be along with the game slowly but surely dying, matches take too long to find, Matchmaking is a BIG joke now, No-new heroes introduced, No E-sports, Slow and bad Hero reworks.
I had enough of this game if I were to continue playing it I would ruin a good memory.

Being constantly told you’re an idiot no matter the situation every single time I play, from people who have no idea what they’re talking about has made my motivation drop dramatically. If I wanted to be told how worthless, idiotic, and stupid I am and told to kill myself on a daily basis, I would be trying to find someone abusive to date instead of play this game.
Yes, I report and mute them. No, that doesn’t change what happens.

QM MM not taking siege damage into account has really put a hamper on things. So many games are lost because one side has 2 strong siege heroes vs non…

Don’t know how to explain it other than I’ve simply lost interest. Haven’t played a game in a few months, been pulled away by console gaming. Between my PS4, Switch, and XB1, I’ve just been enjoying stuff like Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts 3 (Wish it had been longer…), Smash Bros Ultimate, and so on.
The report system, really? I don’t understand why people get hung up on that. The small playerbase and thus resulting “bad” matchmaking is probably the single most problematic thing.
Thou shalt be introduced to the magic of a mute button, I say. 
Matchmaking getting worse in every patch that’s supposed to “fix” it.
Every single match is a stomp now and I find myself bored of the game for the day sooner and sooner. Either my team is worthless and I get tilted, or the enemy team is worthless and the match ultimately bores me because there’s no challenge or excitement to the battle.
I can probably go through my replays and count on one hand how many matches in the past week or so ended without a 3 or 4 level difference.

I got sick and tired of the heroes I like (particularly Specialists) getting nerfed/changed because of people complaining that they were too overpowered. As soon as you get personally invested in a fun hero, even getting the skins and portraits for it, the devs just nerf it or change it, so what’s the point really? I also got tired of existing content that isn’t even broken getting “fixed” in this game (and in other Blizzard games) just to create busywork for the game devs.

Total agree dude. I don’t know if it’s getting worse but feels to me like it’s getting worse. This is what turned me off LOL when I tried it.

Garbage matchmaking. By this i mean that I, as a player with 4 years and thousands of hours of playtime who is in the 1,400 player level range should never, ever be paired with or against level 17, been playing for 6 hours players, even if i’m playing with a low-level friend.

Report system is too soft. Unlike others, i think HotS needs harsher punishments for toxic players. People who throw ranked games because someone made a pick they don’t like, AFK in a corner or intentionally die over and over, insult anyone who doesn’t play exactly how they want, and generally act like spoiled millennial pieces of crap who can’t handle any adversity or stand to have anyone disagree with their opinion constantly get away with their bad behavior and try to call it ‘being competitive’. I’m sick of them, they wouldn’t know competitive if it jumped up and bit thhem on their entitled little asses. They just want easy games and are unable to take responsibility for their own part in their losses.
