Hots turns off computer

When playing hots, after 2-3 games the computer turns off. This problem is only with the hots, in other games (more demanding) there is no such problem. Can anyone come across a similar one? .

Sounds like more of a thing to post in the Tech Support Forums.

Anyway, the only times I’ve had my computer shut down from playing specific games was due to the CPU overheating.
If it doesn’t happen with more demanding games, it’s posible that those other games make more efficient use of your computer’s resources, utilizing the GPU more, and the CPU less, while HotS doesn’t because its engine isn’t exactly a work of art. But that’s all just speculation on my part.

If the problem is overheating, cleaning your computer can sometimes help (a lot more than you might imagine, in my experience).

As I said before, I’m just speculating for the most part, but that’s all I got to (possibly) help you.

Most likely a hardware issue. Either overheating or unstable frequencies.

Other games likely are not more demanding, rather differentially demanding. Heroes of the Storm is based on StarCraft II which is an engine that very efficiently uses GPUs to the point that poorly built GPUs like the GT 8800 would out right die to it. Modern GPUs should have no problem with such workloads but it is still possible that they can suffer from instability due to unlucky binning or age. Like wise due to the efficient use of GPU it can cause strain on the PSU which can cause it to trip protections if not properly ratted or overheating.
