Holy crap! When they said Probius could have multiple Null gates up

I didn’t imagine this. I’m not sure that’s what they had in mind, this is crazy lol. He actually locked down the objective.

Favorite patch in a long time, knew this would be a thing. He is a monster at zone control now. More than Gazlowe ever was. Have fun sneaking a coin turn-in into that!

This is actually amazing.

Probius is making huge progress on the wall I see.

Maybe too much progress…

im fine with 2 walls, maybe 3, but all those? it really is getting out their hands

Considering it has a 30 second CD, it takes such a long time to set up something like that. It also requires the pylon to not be removed, which unless you plan to NEVER leave a location has pretty limited uses. This change will help what was probably one of the worst talents in the game, but it’s still not going to be good.

Sweet, 180p! I always wanted to go back in time!

I saw this today too. He just locked the entire area near their T2 and kept slowly killing it. Whatever came close died.

Good bye Tassadar hello toaster

Probius just became my first pick/ban on that map.

:cold_sweat:

Battle probius reporting.
Multi gated their altar , AAed nova to death, viva low hero level protection.

I feel sorry for the stiches who clearly had a low skilled team.

Instead of 5v4 pushing top lane and wining because Probius was too paranoid to leave middle for minutes on end building up gates, they instead fail to last hit Probius with a range hero right next to them and eventually feed the enemy a ton of coins.

30 sec cd. Their team is essentially 4v5 on the rest of the map while he does it. And it’s completely dependent on keeping the pylons up. One good SkillMing orb or about a hundred other things could shut the whole thing down. This game was likely over long before it formally ended if the enemy team couldn’t capitalize on the 5v4 advantage elsewhere on the map for things like the boss.

Awkward because if they just ignored Probius they probably had the win. Then Tassadar just ignores the 10% HP Probius after Stitches vomits him out.

But even so, I won’t be surprised when they add a limit to the number of possible Null Gates.

On second thought you’re right, this many gates is definitely not doable outside AI or very low MMR human matches (the enemy will capitalize on Probius hanging around in 1 spot too long and push as 5 against 4).

In a SL game with some coordination he might be able to secure an objective like that with 3-4 gates in advance before the objective starts. Then possibly place a 5th during fighting.
On BHB he is very close to bot lane though making this potentially viable even in “real” games.

Even so, blocking multiple access points to Immortal shrines, Dragon Shrines (or layering them near each other) could be game changing.

imagine this: place two Null Gates on each entry and another near the wall in DS obj point. I think the player will have time to do that on that map. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Only issue is they need an active pylon to be maintained. Any artillery hero can make short work of those.

You mean, any Hammer? lol

orb ming, blizzard jaina, lazer gazlowe, starwood Lunara, chromie; lotta heroes can build to outrange towers and put a heavy emphasis on pve damage, so those would be better suited to be an ‘artillery’ build.

However, since teams usually prefer to fight to win an objective (rather than splitpush cheese on non-global heroes) you usually don’t see those sort out builds outside of a brawl. And even in a brawl, people will probably complain on the talent picks up until that side wins the game

artillery jaina was esp potent in the mage brawl before the blizzard talent changes, so if non-aram map rotations ever becomes a thing again, she’ll pretty much break that mode.

Stitches even saw the pylon. Can’t patch out stupidity.
