Heroes of the Storm Live Patch Notes - May 21, 2024

You sure you really want the double healer meta to come back again ?

Gets rid of Nova and Probius, puts in Zarya and Artanis in Same Hero. Leoric still not fully playable in ARAM, only by situationally. How was that decision made? Seems more of a personal change rather than a change for what’s left of our community. Having an Same Hero match with all Gravitational Surges and Suppression Pulses seems dreadful to deal with for 15-20mins.

Just separate Same Hero and ARAM into two different game modes entirely.

Bring back Haunted Mines.

I would very much prefer it and that was help fix the main problem of QM which is no doubt still played the most. This would offer a superiors player experience which we have now; dying in a burst with no opportunity to even react.

Literally anything would suffice. Also nothing about Samuro so it makes me think someone had these changes in mind back in 2021 but couldn’t find time to patch them in, because none of this addressed any of the main concerns.

Sorry for sounding harsh but these UI and indicator additions are starting to feel like someone is desperately trying to polish a turd in order to justify keeping their job.

Players are leaving because of core gameplay issues, not because of lack in clarity of displayed buffs somewhere on the very edge of the screen where literally no one is looking at during combat. Cool addition to help beginners understand their hero better but serves no actual purpose after they grasp the basics.

I used 60% of my mana in 60 sec. Considering I manage my mana extremely efficiently by weaving lots of AAs and using D constantly, I feel it’s fair. Watch other Yrels and their mana bar melts.

A healer main with ā€œonlyā€ 53% WR will get significant results than a non healer main with 45% WR. There’s a prestige to it, more than the saturated ranged assassin role.

Rehgar had to be dealt with. Too popular for his high WR. Even with his mana sustain nerf, he still gets to cast E13 for free heals. Alex doesn’t need mana with W build.

Mephisto with Spite is out of this world. Hanzo W7 is spammable (balanced for its difficulty).

Overall, we’re close to have a balanced game in master. Closer than in 9 years.

They literally haven’t changed anything except the label. He’s always been matchmade as a main tank in QM.

is there something planned for this game? i really miss it :frowning:

Gracias blizzard por mejorar nuestro juego favorito, me estƔn convenciendo de comprar diablo 4

That one character was the highest win rate hero. Nerfing his mana makes sense. I generally don’t really play Rehgar, but after being herded into him in an ARAM, I finally noticed after a lull in combat that I’d been pushing non stop in extended fights for minutes and never went back to tap a well. That is utterly ridiculous. As a healer main who plays a wide variety of healers, going oom should be normal, and it doesn’t hinder my performance. And that should be true of most every hero too. Mana tension should be a thing, that’s why there’s a mana bar to begin with or else we could all rework heroes to be like Gazlowe.

Whining that the clear offender got nerfed is so weird. There are many reasons why people leave, but pointing to core gameplay as a main reason is pretty vague. I’d guess that most people left mainly because the game isn’t being supported and there’s no new content to churn out, or hell, even the matchmaker before ā€œcore gameplayā€.

One more elegant way of dealing with this is nerfing the lvl 13 which as Lucifer says, makes his chain heals ā€œalmost mana freeā€. Handle out of combat heal spam differently but leave active combat mechanics at full strength. I can see how problematic this can appear in comparison to healers such as Malf or WM who are inefficient outside attacking other heroes. Tidal Waves is strong enough on its own just with the cooldown reduction and mana reduction is a complete overkill.

That sidesteps the actual issue though. Not to mention, my anecdote WAS non stop in combat heal spam. And I didn’t even get that talent. Sure, tidal waves might be the most popular, but it isn’t the clear pick or even the highest win rate. Every single talent over performs because his baseline is already strong even without talents.

Like Lucifer said, better healers are more efficient with their mana use and have more longevity which can and should give your team an edge. That’s a form of skill expression that just isn’t really a big factor for Rehgar. I mean Rehgar was like giving a healer Kharazim insight that also had AOE without any talenting.

I can’t believe they fixed charge, now what am I going to blame when I fumble a teamfight as Vikings?

Just blame the alignment of the stars that were not in your favor.

Finally Reghar gets a nerf, It will be nice to see people actually have to try with him a bit, if they want a win. Also finally running out of mana, what an interesting concept for a healer.

Reading Rehgar’s mains trying to justify how their broken hero didn’t deserved this nerf is my new guilty pleasure.

Unexpected, but all the more nice to see.

Going to shift more to QM though from ARAM. Mirrors were already annoying as hell and with those additions i“d even less want to end up in such a match.

He have been the highest winrate of all healers for years now. it was about time.

Gotta say, I’m really enjoying the Arthas buffs so far. He’s still the same inconsistent hero he has been, but he feels better in his good matchups. Not going OOM in ten seconds really opens him up in the early game.

The nerf for his W1 makes sense for oga boga bad games, but outside it, not really going to change anything.

YES… ALL HEROES!!! and stop the same hero trash , and add option to trade heroes with team mate!!!
