It would be awesome to be able to swap hero choices with another player, especially for those situations when someone doesn’t want to tank or heal. Also makes it more forgiving for people who aren’t familiar w/ a wide pool of heroes.
Don’t know how doable it is coding wise with the small HOTS dev team, but it would be a nice improvement!

yup. I don’t get why people queue ARAM if they aren’t going to fill…
They can just do a pool of 15 heroes, amongst which all of the team picks.
Maybe you can be locked to pick 1 out of 3 for 10-15 seconds and once that time is over, anyone can pick anything that hasn’t been claimed yet.
You wouldn’t be the first person to think of this idea, but I would say that it is probably outside of the scope of what they are willing to put in to this game right now, beyond the balance changes we are seeing.
Might be fun to try something like this in a different version of ARAM like a Brawl ARAM, but I wouldn’t change current ARAM as we know it. It is also probably something outside the scope of what they would invest time into, at least in the current version of the game.
Because the point of ARAM isn’t to fill. People will pick what they want, even though you may not agree with the pick.
As for getting a hero you’re not familiar with. That’s kind of the point of ARAM. Why go in that mode if you only want to play heroes you already know ?
That’s what QM is for.
I’m okay with people learning heroes in QM, since what you can learn in ARAM is not really 100% applicable to QM or Ranked.
But totally, I expect people to pick the hero they want over the best role for the team composition every time. I also expect the player with the only healer options to say they did healer the last five games and is not going to do it again this time.
I think people actually play aram more because its 0 macro and everyone fights the entire game and not because they sometimes get heroes they dont want to play.
Well you know going in that your hero is going to be random. So that’s a very strange thing to complain about. It’s as much part of ARAM as it being on one lane.
Also, hero Swap requires a brain, so I don’t think it’s ever happening.
