[Hero Concept - Nexus Original] Delia, The Luminous Vanguard

Hello everyone! I’m finally back with the hero concept for Delia. I’m still terrible with numbers so if something seems UP or OP, feel free to mention it.

I was kinda lost when I started brainstorming her, but I eventually went with a Tank who becomes more effective the more damage she absorbs. Like a combination of Hogger and Zarya’s resource generation. I also took a lot of inspiration from Johanna and Mei’s kits so apologies if some seems a bit derivative. All feedbacks are welcomed (though I’m probably not going to implemet all of them because I’m too lazy to write stuff )

Here’s her brother’s (Verick’s) hero concept; The idea was that 2 heroes who can be independently played, but when picked together they gain small bonuses. (Though I’m starting to think that my concepts would work better without the sibling interaction thing)

The designs are very detailed and well thought out! My only nitpick is that Delia introduces two new CC effects in the form of dazed and disoriented. This seems a bit extreme for one new character. Additionally I don’t fully understand what the disoriented status effect is supposed to do when it says “unable to hit damaging spells.” How am I normally able to hit damaging spells?

Great job though!

Oh thanks for the feedback, I don’t personally think introducing 2 types of CC is a bad idea in one character because it fits her moon/night aesthetic, but that’s just me lol.

So disorient I intended to be something like Blinds but for spells. So in my head I envisioned it to be like, if Chrome or Li Ming hits you with their Q/W it won’t deal damage. Same goes for Jaina Blizzard or KT flame strike etc. But unlike blinds, it won’t remove the on hit effects, so CC or other secondary non damaging effects will still be applied.

This is just an idea for future CC mechanics and I don’t actually know if you can code it that way lol.

I think that would actually be very easy to code. All you have to do is give the afflicted mage 0% spell power and only the CC effects will apply!
