[Hero Concept] Charizard (Pokemon)!

Whoever wanted a Pokemon in Hots (which means only me) is now satisfied !

Depiction

  • Charizard is a Mid Ranged Assassin exactly like Cassia.
  • He is mobile and able to attack at melee or using its spells to attack at range.
  • The player is able to change its play style with Talents and Heroic Ability. Depending your choice, you can make it a Physical Damage Dealer or Spell Damage Dealer.
  • Charizard is able to fly across the battlefield exactly like Falstad.
  • At level 1-4-7, talents will only increase the power of a single Basic Ability (like Leoric at level 4 and 7).

Stats

  • Health Points: 1925 (+4% per level).
  • Health Regeneration: 4.01 (+4% per level).
  • Mana: 490 (+10 per level).
  • Mana Regeneration: 2.90 (+0.1 per level).
  • Basic Attack range : 4.0 meters.
  • Basic Attack damage: 120 (+4% per level).
  • Attack Speed: 0.95 per second.
  • Hero Radius: 1.06.
  • Basic Attacks cleave in a radius of 4.0 meters in an arc of 90° in front of Charizard. He uses Slash.

Abilities

  • Fly (Mount)

    • After 1.5 seconds of canalisation, Charizard takes off and enters in Stasis for 1.5 seconds, then crashes at the destination, dealing 150 (+4% per level) Physical Damage to every enemies hit and Slow them by 40% for 3 seconds. Flying Type-Attack.
      • 60 seconds Cooldown.
      • 40 range.
      • 3.5 Radius.
  • Blaze (Trait)

    • When Charizard has 33% or less of its Maximum Health, he deals 50% more damage.
    • Passive: Fire and Flying Attacks-Type deal 50% more damage.
  • Flame Burst (Q)

    • Target an area, throw a fireball that deal 100 (+4% per level) Spell Damage after 0.5 seconds. Enemies at the center take 150 (+4% per level) damage instead. Fire Type Attack.
      • Cooldown: 6 seconds.
      • Range: 8.0 meters.
      • Mana cost: 60.
      • Radius of the center: 0 to 1 meters
      • Radius of the second circle: 1 to 3 meters.
        This Spell is similar to Brightwing’s Arcane Flare.
  • Wing Attack (W)

    • Charizard opens wide its wings and dashes at the destination, dealing 100 (+4% per level) Physical Damage to every enemies hit. Flying Type Attack.
      • Cooldown: 4 seconds.
      • Mana cost: 30.
      • Range: 4.5 meters.
      • Movement Speed during Wing Attack: 273%.
      • Hitbox: 2.25x3.25.
      • Cast time: 0.125 seconds.
        This Spell is similar to Illidan’s Sweeping Strike, but larger.
  • Rest (E)

    • Fall asleep for 4 seconds after 0.5 seconds. While asleep you restore 5% of your Maximum Health and Mana per second. Taking damage makes Charizard awake.
      • Cooldown: 15 seconds.
      • Mana cost: 0.

Talents

  • Level 1 (Charizard wants to learn a new Ability!)

    • Flare Blitz (Q)

      • This talent is an Ability replacing Flame Burst.
      • After 0.5 seconds, dashes forward. Colliding with an enemy Hero deals 216 (+4% per level) Physical Damage to all nearby enemy and leave the grounded burned for 3 seconds, every enemies standing on the area burnt takes 50 (+4% per level) Spell Damage per second. Charizard takes 33% damage dealt in recoil of the main target. Fire Type Attack.
        • Cooldown: 12 seconds.
        • Mana Cost: 80.
        • Range: 9.5 meters.
        • Hitbox: 2.25x1.5.
        • Impact Radius: 3 meters.
        • Speed: 19 units/s.
          This Spell is based on Blaze’s Jet Propulsion, and looks like it.
    • Fire Blast (Q)

      • This talent is an Ability replacing Flame Burst.
      • After 0.25 seconds, throw a little ball of fire in the chosen direction. If the fireball hits an enemy, it explodes in a shape of a star, dealing 240 (+4% per level) Spell Damage to every enemies hit. Fire Type Attack.
        • Cooldown: 12 seconds.
        • Mana Cost: 75.
        • Range: 11 meters.
        • Hitbox: 1.25x1.25.
        • Projectile Speed: 24.0 meters/s.
          This Spell is based on Ana’s E characteristics.
    • Fire Pledge (Q)

      • Increase the range and area of Flame Burst by 20%, reduce the Mana Cost by 20. Flame Burst leaves the ground burnt for 4 seconds, dealing 42 (+4% per level) Spell Damage per second to every enemies walking on it.
  • Level 4 (Charizard wants to learn a new Ability!)

    • Dragon Claw (W)

      • This talent is an Ability replacing Wing Attack.
      • Swipe towards the area in front of Charizard for 130 (+4% per level) Physical Damage. Dragon-Type Attack.
        • Cooldown: 4 seconds.
        • Range: 4.5.
        • Hitbox: 4.25x2.5.
        • Mana cost: 65.
          This Spell is based on Greymane’s Q characteristics in Worgen Form.
    • Air Cutter (W)

      • Deal 145 (+4% per level) Spell Damage to enemies in an area and knock them back. Flying Type-Attack.
        • Cooldown: 5 seconds.
        • Mana cost: 50.
        • Range: 3.
        • Arc: 50°
        • Cast time: 0.25 seconds.
        • Knockback distance: 3.5.
          This Spell is similar to Alex’s Wing Buffet.
    • Steel Wing (W)

      • Increase the damage of Wing Attack by 75% and you gains 25 Armor for 2 seconds per Heroes hit, up to 50. Wing Attack becomes Steel-Type Attack instead of Flying-Type.
  • Level 7 (Charizard wants to learn a new Ability!)

    • Dragon Dance (E)

      • This talent is an Ability replacing Rest.
      • Activate to charge your power. You increase by 12% your Physical Damage and 6% Movement Speed for the next 5 seconds for every 1 second of channeling, up to 5 seconds.
        • Cooldown: 14 seconds.
        • Mana cost: 60.
    • Sleep Talk (E)

      • While Sleeping, Charizard can move and use its Abilities and he is not longer awake when taking damage.
      • Passive: Increase the Healing from 5% to 7% per second.
    • Tailwind (E)

      • This talent is an Ability replacing Rest.
      • Charizard and every allied Heroes in 6.0 range gain 25% Movement Speed. This effect lasts 4 seconds.
        • Cooldown: 12 seconds.
        • Mana cost: 50.
        • Cast time: 0.125 seconds.
  • Level 10 (Choose your Mega-Evolution)

    • Mega-Charizard X (R1)

      • After 0.5 seconds, enter in Stasis for 0.75 seconds and transform into Mega Charizard X for 8 seconds. While transformed, your Trait becomes Tough Claws instead of Blaze. You gain Dragon-Type instead of Flying-Type, making your Dragon Type-Attack deal 50% more damage. You gain 10% Physical Damage and Physical Armor.
      • Tough Claws: Increase the damage of every Physical Damage by 33%.
        • Cooldown: 60 seconds.
        • Mana cost: 0.
    • Mega-Charizard Y (R2)

      • After 0.5 seconds, enter in Stasis for 0.75 seconds and transform into Mega Charizard Y for 8 seconds. While transformed, your Trait becomes Drought instead of Blaze and you gain 10% Spell Power and Spell Armor.
      • Drought: Fire Type-Attacks deal 50% more damage and Charizard can see over bushes.
      • Passive: Increase your Basic Attack range by 25% and no longer use Slash, but Flamethrower. Your Basic Attacks deal Spell Damage in a rectangle (like D.Va) and becomes Fire Type-Attack.
        • Cooldown: 60 seconds.
        • Mana cost: 0.
  • Level 13 (Choose your Ev’ spread)

    • Fast Physical Sweeper (Passive)

      • Permanently increase your Physical Damage and Movement Speed by 15%.
    • Bulky Offense (Passive)

      • Permanently increase your Maximum Health by 20% and Movement Speed by 15%.
    • Fast SpĂ©cial Sweeper (Passive)

      • Permanently increase your Spell Power and Movement Speed by 15%.
  • Level 16 (Choose an Item to hold)

    • Life Orb (Active)

      • Upon activation, you will lose 3% of your Maximum Health every time you use an Ability dealing damage or your Basic Attack, but you deal 20% more damage. Can be toggled off. You lose this bonus while Mega-Evolution and cannot activate it.
        • Cooldown: 15 seconds.
    • Maranga Berry (Active)

      • Upon activation, you gain 40 Spell Armor for 3 seconds. You lose this bonus while Mega-Evolution and cannot activate it.
        • Cooldown: 30 seconds.
    • Leftovers (Active)

      • Upon activation, you restore 2% of your Maximum Health and Mana every second for 10 seconds. You lose this bonus while Mega-Evolution and cannot activate it.
        • Cooldown: 20 seconds.
  • Level 20 (Item from the Player)

    • Hyper Potion (Active)

      • After 0.75 seconds, heal 50% of your Maximum Health over 3 seconds.
        • Cooldown: 80 seconds.
    • Max Revives (Active)

      • Activate while dead to respawn at the Altar after 5 seconds.
        • Cooldown: 90 seconds.
    • Max Ether (Active)

      • Activate to restore 25% of your Mana over 5 seconds and your Basic Ability cooldowns recharge 50% faster for 10 seconds.
        • Cooldown: 40 seconds.

Very creative, But no counter to some of his Weaknesses, like if you’re going to choose Mega Y, since it has Drought, Solar Beam is the perfect choice!!

At the very beginning of the concept, Solar Beam was created instead of Air Cutter at level 4, but the talent was really hard to balance and I’ve shown it to someone that doesn’t really know about Pokemon and he was like “How Charizard can learn a Grass Type-Attack ?!!”. Furthermore, the Ability was really broken with Drought as you can imagine, so I’ve changed it for an attack that matches more with Charizard’s appearance: Air Cutter.

I gonna write how I’ve designed Solar Beam below (because you already know about this Ability), I’ve based my Solar Beam on the one shown in Pokemon Battle Revolution: A big ray falling from the sky.
You had to charge your Ability for like 1.5s~ (during this time you’re Stunned and Rooted) and after you had (something like) 8s to reactivate the Ability to use your Beam (you can walk etc… after channeling is complete), It was really similar to a Flamestrike of Kael’Thas at this point: After 1s, strikes the area and the radius would have been the same, but he would have be a way higher range.

Ahhh that’s the reason… I guess it makes sense :thinking:, alrighty then… :blush:

Well if Blizzard gets on real good terms with Nintendo it’s not impossible.
