I love heroes of the storm, although I have to admit general chat has a lot of trolls, bait, people lecturing about politics(left and right). I really wonder if there is something more that can be done about this possibly on blizzards end? is it okay to report a player for political lectures?

can I still converse with a player in game after muting a player in general chat, I do enjoy working with my matchmaking team and it feels like the better option would be to put the burden on the trolls and not the players.
Use the mute button if someone is saying something you don’t like. Or report them. You can report someone for abusive chat for literally ANYTHING they said. This is why the report system sucks.

Grow thicker skin. People who get offended so easily are part of the problem. If you can’t do that, turn off chat.

General Chat has been a wasteland since a long time ago, I would say mfpallytime or Reddit chat are more bearable, but you can always join HotS discord communities.

Why would anything need to be done about this? As trash as it is, it’s general chat. Participation and viewing is entirely optional.

I’ve visited the Gen. Chat a few times and lmao, those peeps spend most of their time typing nonsense and other junk. Gen. Chat needs to be purged.

the problem is tolerable just annoying, I am trying to send constructive criticism to blizzard as a programmer myself. They could add a command to ignore people in main chats or personally watch it 1 hour a day and improve customer relations. I can already see the problem is worse than a 1/100 ratio so why not right?
