during draft we still had 3 picks left. We preselected chogall and a guy insta locked zuljin and we could not locked chogall in the same time. So we had 2 picks left but not in the same time and could not pressed the lock button. INSTANT LOSE for inactivity thats what the game sad. 1 hour gameplay went to the bin cuz this was counted as 2 loss on our MMR . GG

So based on the information you gave, this appears to all be working as intended.
Cho’Gall can only be selected when you have two picks available in the same round. Since you both could not lock in Cho’gall, and you didn’t have another double pick round available, he is no longer a valid Hero selection.
Additionally, if you are hovering or pre-selecting a Hero that is not available to be locked in (for example in this case or if they are banned or already selected) when the timer runs out, the draft is ended and leaver penalties are given.

The main problem is that when others on your team have not picked yet and you have a hero selected that has been banned, you still get the penalty.
Before, for example, a team mate who has selected a non banned hero would get that hero selected when the timer runs out, and the person with the banned hero would get a chance to pick something else after the next round of picks are banned.
Does that make sense? Since now its very easy to accidently get the penalty whereas before this was NOT the case.

The situation you described is different from the one Bull posted. In their situation the only two picks their team had left were Heroes that couldn’t be picked, which led to the disconnect and leaver penalty.
Regarding the situation you outlined, I’ve been unable to reproduce that specific issue internally. In the event I’m hovering a banned or picked Hero and my ally is hovering an eligible Hero when time runs out, the eligible Hero is locked in and I don’t get kicked or get any penalty.
I will continue to try different scenarios, but if this happens to you again, please create a new post with detailed information about banned heroes, the Heroes hovered, and how many picks your team had left. This can help me figure out what situation might cause this!

Thanks for your reply on this issue. It seems to happen not when another hero has a picture showing but when their are blank heroes and a banned hero is showing. If that makes sense or not. However, before I know that if i had a banned hero, I was not put in AFK as much as now. So as a work around if my hero is banned i pick another hero quicker and when game starts i try to have a hero showing.
