I’ve been thinking a 70’s disco event would be funny, and then several ideas came to me one after another; this is the end result I came up with.
Its time for a disco showdown on the nexus! “Getting-Down Druid” Malfurion Swingrage faces down his rival/brother “Disco Demon Hunter” Illidan Swingrage. The two compete in an epic dance-off for the heart of the beautiful Tyrande Whisperwoogie!
The game would let you choose which side you support and which rewards you’d be getting.
Here’s the costumes for the event:
Malfurion Swingrage the “Getting Down Druid”: This would be Malfurion in a disco suit (opened to show off his pecs), wielding a staff with a disco ball at the end. Instead of having antlers, he’d have a large green afro. “Trained by the Disco Demi-God Cenfunkius, Malfurion Swingrage taps into the primal animal spirits of dance to generate a truly swinging expression of pure groove,”
Illidan Swingrage the “Disco Demon Hunter”. Illidan would be now wearing a sleeveless disco vest and pants with raised shoes. His glaives would be blinged out and his eyewrap is now pair of sunglasses. His Demon Form Heroic decks him as a glowing figure like he’s a living disco ball and his shoes have raised his height further. He also gains an afro of his own in this form. “Unable to accept his brother would become his dance teacher, Illidan made a bargain with a fallen titan of boogie, gaining a pair of nifty sunglasses in the process to enhance his dance powers,”
Tyrande Whisperwoogie: This is Tyrande dressed as a disco gal with high heeled boots, and her hair filled with glitter. “Neither brother would listen to her due to their rivalry, but she plans on choosing Malfurion regardless of who wins their dance contest”
DJ “Lucky” Lucio: Come on, this is a perfect event for him. (And its not even because of his race). He already is a dj and travels by roller blades (which goes back to roller disco). “A long time fan of Malfurion Swingrage, he must hold back as he mcs the dance showdown between him and his brother,”
Disco Ball Probius: This would be Probius finally getting a new costume instead of a reskin. Probius would be decked like a disco ball, and summon raised glowing cubes (Like you’d see in a disco club) for pylons and cannons that shoot rainbow lasers. “Lucky Lucio’s sidekick, who’s always up for starting a party!”
The mount of the event would be an afro-wearing nightsaber, with a variant being more designed like a demon hunter’s felsaber.
