Issue continued from:

Tried all provided solutions listed by Cannot Connect on Launch - #9 by Zenlaka , but none fixed the issue. Here is the WinMTR test that was requested if the issue persisted:

The Game is back up now

I haven’t been able to connect for a week, and still can’t, unfortunately. Must be a separate issue.

Try clicking on the options section that is right on the game screen of the app(it is right next to redeem codes), then click scan and repair files. did that and then shut down the battle.net app for a few minutes, came back and it was working. Took about 10 mins or so to run the scan.

Already attempted repair, and even entirely reinstalled the game. Entirely disabled my security for an attempt to log in as well. The issue still persists.

from what i can tell you may be on a campus internet?
if so you will need to get in touch with campus IT. you will need to talk to them specifically about the game you are trying to play and the trouble you are having. you will need to tell them the ports required by the game. then if they feel helpful they may unblock what you need.

I am indeed on campus internet. However, with my roommate connecting to the exact same network switch and being able to play the game, I don’t see how the available ports could possibly be the issue.

do you have to log in to use the campus internet? this could cause an issue if its a privilege problem with your account.

otherwise i would say its your computer then.

start here:

147.226.254.35 is in a block of address space owned by Bell State University. The fact that this is the last address that your packets get to mean that the link between your university and the next hop (Blizzard’s backbone services? guessing here) is not working. It may be that your university decided to blacklist Blizzard’s servers or they may just have something misconfigured. Either way, your two options are to ask your university’s tech support (good luck with that, you may want to see if anyone else can replicate the issue so you can at least show it’s not just you) or to use a VPN service, assuming Blizzard allows those (not sure, check rules first).

Alternatively, you can do what I did when I was on campus: pay your parents or a friend to set up a VPN server on their network. Most newer home routers come with VPN server functionality or you can also use something like a RasPi to rig one up yourself. Even if public VPN services aren’t allowed by Blizzard (IDK if they are), this kind of personal setup would probably be allowed.

I am dealing with the same problems as described in the previous thread. I also have tried the applicable steps outlined in the previous thread, and had no success. I did two WinMTR tests because I was not sure if I was in the western or central U.S. region, so I did a test for both. here is the results.
Note: Periods are swapped out with commas in the data at time to make upload possible

Anything that can help me diagnose this problem? Additional notes: Starcraft 1 & 2 operate just fine, only the Heroes of the Storm server is inaccessible. Also, this launch error only took place about half the time in the past. It was not until the most recent update that I experienced a connection error every attempt.
Any way I can fix this?
Thanks!
