We have all encountered trolls in PvP matches, all too often. They don’t participate and intentionally throw the match, all the while evading the AFK game detector so they don’t get auto-booted. They ruin the gaming experience for all of us and this kind of behavior should be discouraged. Please enable a vote kick feature where the allied team can vote to boot a troll on their team, and it would be unanimous (all 4 remaining allies would need to confirm vote) to pass. A successful boot will raise a leaver status requiring the booted player to win one match to get rid of it. To prevent abuse of the vote-kick, maybe provide a time limit or cooldown so you can’t spam it.

4 stacks could use it to troll innocent players. This is likely why such a feature does not already exist, it is too open to abuse.

I agree but you’d have to take out the leavers part.
Not that they might not deserve it, just that it could be abused.
Just a note: they never introduced a vote to surrender or any sort of anti troll mechanics, so I have my doubt they would go for this even if they were still in full swing.

First add the surrender vote. When you are put in a team of bad players that somehow managed to be level 2000 but still play like it is their first match, then it just is a pain to endure those matches for 20 minutes without the slightest chance of winning. Wasted time. No wonder people rather afk then to make it end faster.
Meanwhile I get stuck playing another game with another troll… the report system is useless. makes me want to quit for good.
How would the report system ever prevent you from having a troll on your team?
What type of system could you design that would predict that a player would troll before a game starts?

Surrendering is not going to help the trolls. You are probably one of them and just give up if the team isn’t doing well in the first 10 minutes. Almost like you never had a game where you were down by 3 levels and managed to come back for a victory, all because you already gave up on your team.
How about neccesary votes to succesfull kick be raised to 5? You need a vote from the enemy team
I get ur frustration BUT remember that in this game u only control ur own hero!! but not just ur own hero u also control how u interact. some people get mad. u need to report and move on. but at least a few times the rest of the team getting a pick or two despite the crybabby leads them to decide they’d rather have a win than a mope.
the mute feature is also part of this. this game is stressful! it’s a strategy game where the better u are , the farther off u can predict but it can get dire on te inflated end of the spectrum.
there is a specific in game report option (both in match and on the score screen) to report both non-participation and intentionally dying/griefing/etc. use those and provide some details and let ‘em know how it makes u feel (within reason, of course).
as others have already mentioned , a kick feature could be used to abuse innocent players. play nice, play fair is the general rule for this game. there’s no “play well” rule. I mean, u will enjoy playing well, surely–unless u have some issues for ur therapist–and playing well will come with practice. it’s not against the rules to be bad at the game, but getting kicked for that could create a very negative impact for a new player in a game that’s already quite socially brutal.
Your perception of a player being bad could be wrong. This applies to everyone.
Vote-kick would destroy HotS. The fact that people can get BANNED for speech when there’s a mute button is already ridiculous.. We don’t need punishing systems for players that are inevitable.

I don’t like the recent updates that they made but the game is fine imo.
I agree. And to prevent abuse, you could combine it with some smart AI‑based inactivity detection — whenever the game identifies a player as clearly not participating, it could automatically offer the team a vote‑kick option. Not as a forced action, just a contextual prompt that appears only for suspected AFK players. That would reduce vote‑kick spam and help deal with trolls who intentionally avoid participating.

Game isn’t fine. It’s a clustef*k of stupidity with idiotic ideas of making mythic quests which are absurd and stupid cause they make em for 1-2 heroes every 8 months and everyone flocks to that hero cause its the only one that got jerked off

Are you talking about “meta”? Blizzard and many other games have a meta.. Meta is basically just another name of something unbalanced. There’s alot of heroes, someone will be the meta always because numbers show…

I honestly don’t care. I’ve been at a point of “dont expect anything good from anyone” for a long time now.
Whatever quest anyone gets, if they’re overtuned.. they will change. If it doesn’t and it ruins the game more and more.. then let it ruin it. Maybe they want to end the service of the game cuz could be a net loss over and over..
