Most HL matches devolve into shouting matches and the trolls have their own echo chamber to pretend we all suck.
I tell you now, its better to throw the game than extend it out. Better to have fun at everyone’s expense than to actually play the game as intended. No one is taking it seriously anyways, especially in HL. Everyone just picks whatever, dont communicate and we have people who just pick poorly on purpose. Yeah, compared to that, throwing is the best way to enjoy a dying match when your team goes in single file conga style into a full 5 man team.
It saves a lot of time on your part and you are enjoying yourself, the very reason you installed this game in the first place. People are doing it a lot lately, and if you cant find them good, just throw.

I hate to say this, however, after finishing my first set of placement matches ever for this game I sort of agree. This game suffers from terrible matchmaking. It is better to just get the matches over with as quickly as possible either win or lose. Before the re-release or whatever matches could swing wildly from winning to losing. Now all matches are stomps.

Yesterday in QM i noted we had no Illidan + Aba + Greymane counters and that it reminded me why i dont like QM that much at the start of the game to my team.
Teammate took this to heart, told me i ruined the game and his evening by this, he AFKed in base and just died all the time when he didnt.
Funny thing is that we could have won it if he didnt AFK and feed and complain.
Point is, comps dont matter that much and you should just try your best whike having fun.
If having fun is being a huge whatever for the teammates for ya, see a psychologist.

QM, not HL.
QM is expected to have such bad players, not in Hero League, where everyone is playing pretty good. QM is for the times you want to finish quests or have casual fun.
The same people that play QM play HL too, as far as what ive seen people tend to pick one gamemode and stick to it, theres a giant portion of the playerbase playing AI exclusively as there is for QM an HL as well, HL being the lowest popularity of course.
People like to pick whatever they want and play just to chill, i play mostly AI, around 70% of my games and i chill there and do quests, every bow and then i feel like some challenge and i go HL, right now not so motivated to do any HL games because the change that is coming might make it useless and i might stop playing the game.
Plat 1, 54% wr and 90 games this season in HL, AI games dont affect your ability to play PVP modes if you dont treat players like they are the sandbag enemy that the AI is.
If I pick whatever the hell I please at the moment, that does not mean I don’t play to win. If you throw the game just because you don’t like my draft, it’s on you and I’m reporting you.

Turned out well enough even though the game was basically 4x5 since azmo was making sure he’s always on opposite lane of us (maybe split pushing like that is a valid tactic in bronze? I didn’t think it’s good, I didn’t like it and thought it to be funny but at no point it even crossed my mind to not win the game because of it).
P.S. The idea of playing QM never even crossed my mind. Playing HL on a smurf seems like the more logical choice (not that I don’t play whatever I want on my main either though). If I play diamond or below game, I don’t consider maximizing draft necessary (especially if I prefer to not raise my rank), since I can cover up a suboptimal draft (doesn’t mean tragic though; but if others make it tragic, I’ll take it as a challenge) with the missing MMR (that I would have if I played to the max). I’m pretty sure there are plenty of ppl out there with similar mindset, who have reached GM multiple times in the past and simply don’t feel like tryharding anymore.
Oh, but the XP changes ensure that the game gets dragged out lol.

Always has, always will…until Blizzard puts in some form of performance analysis that plays a part into how much MMR you gain/lose at the end of a match, such as their promised PBMM.
I know it’s been proven time and again that a Master player can climb up on any account. So what. Bronze players will drop like a rock on any account. The problem area where rank is completely skewed is Silver - Diamond.

I stopped caring about Ranked leagues when my team continued to ban Murky to prevent me from picking him, intentionally preventing me from picking him. I lost count of how many games I’ve thrown because of draft. My winningest hero in Ranked is Murky with a 72% win ratio, but that doesn’t placate the Draft-terds who want to tell others to play. You want to be a dink to me, and you’re going to suffer in your ranking, because I don’t care about mine. I’ve been able to throw a gold account down to bronze, and the NERD TEARS of rage sustain me in this terrible community.
There’s no reason to be that guy and throw period. You may be pissed but if you’re gonna screw the rest of your team just stop playing so you aren’t wasting everyone’s time.

NEWSFLASH - none of my RL friends play this game anymore. and there is no social aspect to this game that allows you to make friends. All this game does is divide people and breaks you down in a toxic environment. So why play?

Silver 3, played Convection Kaelthas with our team with only Sonya as our only frontline and he picked poorly on purpose saying we should be more pro for him to care.

Why didnt you just stay silent until it was your turn to pick murky… if they tried to force a “hover up who you want” play it off by where you are on the pick list. If you are first-3rd pick you were “going to the bath room” or pizza man was at the door. If you were 3-5 pick someone close to murky and just switch at the last moment. Oops my cat did it works if you are that good just prove it on the battlefiels from that point. 
That doesnt work all the time. It fails more than it works.
VAT, I don’t know you but after seeing a couple of similar posts, it sounds a lot like you are a little bitter.
Try talking to people, communicating with a ping (not spamming) and helping others if you see a rotate going on (let them know etc.)
Trying to force picks onto players is not the way to start a game. Nor is simply ignoring everyone. If they are not being reasonable, then play around it; fill for the team or if you have the luxury counter pick the opposite team.
Preaching you picks will only annoy them, and they will most likely tilt them; and I am assuming you have not already tilted (as you sound a little bitter).
I’ve been holding back on my vitriol but the amount of crap I have been given in every match, both QM and HL, has made me rather mad. And I have calmed down through the liberal use of the mute button. If you pretend everyone is a bot, you dont need to be salty.
And the thing about that is that I have done ALL of those things that you just said. But then, there is this one guy or 3 who have higher ranks than you are calling you completely garbage, and telling you that YOU are the problem after they try to 1v3 the enemy because they are gold, or ignore advise because they used to be higher ranked and that my advice is utter crap.
The only way I can play around that is to be a specialist, because I can push the lanes but even then I get yelled at for not being part of that team wipe/ambush that my team just walked into.
Yeah, I have no faith in my team to be cohesive, just functional enough to enjoy the game at the very least.
