Banning phase upgrade

Isn’t it time that we get 3 simultaneous bans so we can reduce the already ridiculously high time spent in draft?

NOPE…

one ban after 2 to 3 heroes picked on each side is crucial
it allows the teams to know which direction the draft is going

they can add another ban slot bcoz the roster is bigger now, if thts wht u want,

but all 3 slots filled in before draft,

one mid-draft ban slot is very important

No is not. It isn’t in any moba game ever, and it certainly isn’t in HoTS. This just makes you waste even more time that you could be using in actually playing the game

That would be perfect. I wish every moba would just make their players lives easier and just copy League of Legends draft system.

It’s good as it is. And it’s definitely better and more tactical than dumping all bans at once and giving it to every potato in the match (hyperbole intended to clarify the point), especially in solo queue where ppl wouldn’t even coordinate their bans.
There’s really no reason to make something WORSE when it’s already better. If other moba’s do the worse variant, well too bad for them. Maybe that’s another idea they should “steal” from hots (definitely not the other way around).

As for time, if your crown is ALWAYS sleeping, then maybe you’re the crown and forget it? It usually takes no more than 1-2 minutes for all bans to go through and 3.5 min is the absolute max (1 min for 1st, 30 sec for all the rest), although you could also say it’s 3 minutes + 30 sec “draft start” delay.

5 ppl banning in solo queue (especially if that’s done at the same time) would ALWAYS result in a jumble of random/nonsense bans. 1 best player (or “captain”, of you will) on team having all the bans and enough time to think about it can (and usually will) result in thought out tactical bans. And if all players are relatively equal on the team? Then selection of the “best” player or “captain” is kind of random, which is also completely fine. You still want one person to do the banning, not everyone. If everyone is equal, then that one should be selected randomly (which is pretty much how it is already).
So, as you see, current ban system is already perfect. Wether we need more bans or group some bans (or give less time per ban) to save time are totally different questions of improving the current system, but the whole system does not need to change.

Each player has 1 ban, you would just rotate your team bans, enemy team picks, enemy team ban, you pick. That way you are encouraged to lock tanks and healers first for those who complain and there is more than enough dps bruisers and so on.

Dumping all buns? You mean 5 people choosing a hero they don’t want to play against instead of 1 people choosing 3 they don’t want to play against? How exactly is the latter more tactical? If more people have to deal with champions they don’t do well against, isn’t this going to be way worse for the team? The 3 ban system would work much better in League of Legends, where people can just carry the game by themselves, not in HoTS where teamwork is crucial.

3.5 min for a game where matches usually takes 20 minutes, how many matches could you have played in the long run if those 3.5 minutes were 30 seconds instead?
