You make one distinct choice for an occasional extra ability. Sounds like a pretty easy choice depending on balancing.

Overwatch made money, it would seem HOTS hasn’t. It’s usually a straight forward financial and business decision and question whether you make a sequel to anything, did the first one make cash?
Unlike you I’m smart enough to recognize there’s no rocket science here and little to be proud of. I’m more so anxious to see if it would work or what it would take to make it work. What I’m confident about is the direction. I don’t see feasible alternatives and without a substantial attempt to deepen this game you can stick a fork in it. In other words, worth a shot.
Four abilities or modifiers out of twenty-four that can be used in eight-second intervals. The point of the opening post was that with for example Jaina there are a lot of useful options. While the areas of overlap are large there is meaningful choice in what to emphasize and variety in play. Ranked is virtually all I play. Right now I see no meta at a bulging mmr band. I was looking at some OW stats say a year ago that indicated despite there being a clear meta at the highest levels down the ladder where most players reside choices were different. People play for fun in ranked too.
