Out of like 50,000 bans out there, Tyrande is only banned once, which is the lowest number of bans on a hero

I don’t quite understand. Tyrande is one of the best healers in the game right now, but the fact that she has only seen one ban means players must see her as one of the worst heroes in the game. But she isn’t. Theoretically based on her power level there should be at least some players who are like “we should ban Tyrande because she’s such a great healer” but no there isn’t. One ban is laughable.
Did Tyrande fall off in power or something? Did she go from one of the best healers to one of the worst healers just by one patch alone?
The website notes she has 21 bans on the second round of bans, not just the first round, so you just read it wrong… Although I am not sure how accurate their stats are in the first place. But she has more than 1 ban at least LOL.
Edit: You may want to tinker with the filter as to what timeline of the stats you’re using. If you go only last 7 days the stats are low. But if you opt for 30-90-Current Season you’ll see she has a much higher banrate and priority.

she’s a great healer but not everyone can be successful on her and that can be said about any hero honestly not her specifically. however she remains a healer after all and she can’t heal a lot like alexstrasza / rehgar / ana and the rest that i don’t want to keep writing down their names but you get my point. i would prefer to ban a hero that would actually wipe my team for their mistake than a healer that would try to save their team which means no harm since we can just focus the healer and kill it.
only 1 person i like playing with on tyrande which is Aem she’s NA player but her tyrande is so clean. and she’s getting better by the time and best part in that is she listens to the advice and does better after a mistake than repeating it so i love her tyrande plays! specially when she rarely miss a stun which requires a lot of focus on your target to land it perfectly and she does it perfectly one of the very few good tyrande players i’ve ever met so far
Yeah I would consider Tyrande one of the hardest healers to play in the game.
She’s very position dependent, very stutterstep dependent, and skillshot dependent.
Go too far and you might die. Can’t stutterstep and your healing drops a ton. Can’t hit your E and you lose your opportunity to kill someone.
On top of that when you play her you need frontlines that can CC to chain your E otherwise she feels useless.
But on the flipside if you know how to play her well she brings great results. The epitome of how the skill on a hero is directly proportional to your results.

she’s more comp dependent than not, so i would think people would prefer to ban heroes that enable tyrande instead.

Having her cleanse tier moved hurt her quite a bit.
A problem with Tyrande is that her heroics are very mediocre compared to every other support heroic in the game. (2nd place goes to Auriel).
Also her healing is super dependent on hitting your AA.
There is no reason to ban Tyrande unless you are specifically target banning a very skilled player on the opposing team. She is in no way problematic to play against. She is a very hard (and good) healer at the moment few people can get full value out of.
Yeah having her cleanse moved later definitely hurt her big time as it now means she has less tools once heroics come online at level 10, making her options to save allies from wombo combos is drastically reduced. The other options just don’t come close to being able to save allies the way the cleanse did – it also encouraged a more smart use of your heal to boot since you’d do your best to keep at least one charge of your heal ready for any CC you could cleanse.
She was banned sunday when I did heroeslounge.

Anyway, she has a 1% ban rate last 7 days on HeroesProfile which logs a bit more games. Out of 3700 matches that is roughly 37 bans.
Not a whole lot but still more than 1.

We banned her because of anub
They just didn’t filter the stats properly the last 7 days only show that much. But when you filter 30, 60, or the current season she has a much better banrate, but primarily during the second round (evidently she’s not first ban material).

High bans
Zera alarak
Etc Maeive

Mid priority bans
Malfurion
Tracer
Rexxar
Diablo
Garrosh
Low priority bans
Kt
Ktz
Medivh
Jaina
Ana
Malthael
Tyrande
Many more situational bans like if they pick jaina you ban jimmy. But those are the top bans
