Zoo Warlock is the weakest?

So I haven’t been playing for a month and a half and apparently everybody completely abandoned my favorite class after every other deck got refined. Zoo is apparently so horrible that the only thing that can save it is Uldum. But I don’t remember it being so bad? Did the mech update really kill the class that hard? Then I see Vicious Syndicate’s report and confirm: “YES!”

In theory it’s not that terrible. I take the early game and then snowball in the later half with life tap to draw more creatures. But that consistent gameplan just isn’t enough to compete with the absolutely absurd burst that I’m witnessing. I can’t take a board clear. Everybody’s cheating out HUGE minions and comboing off on me. Nothing I do feels powerful enough compared to what my opponents can do.

So when I see people complain the recently revealed EVIL Recruiter should be nerfed because it’s like a little better than a 4 mana 8/8… I hate you. I deserve OP cards! Warlock deserves unfair things!

Zoo is okay but it falls to Control and doesn’t do as well against other fast paced decks like Murlocs and Tokens.

Luckily, Zoo is one of the eternal decks that’ll always be good at the start of the meta at least, like Tempo Mage.

lets take a minute of silence for the priest class ^^

Now I know it’s a counter, but firebat searched for warrior’s win rate against zoo. It turned out that even when they keep Elysiana (by far the worst card in the matchup) they win 70+% of the time.

Atm I don’t know for which decks I’d want to play zoo over rogue if I wanted to play something aggressive.

I’ve played a ton of zoo this season and from what I’ve seen it’s in a pretty decent place. Is it the strongest? No, but it’s in a healthy place and could very well improve over the next expansion.

I’ve still managed to keep a 62% WR with it. I chalk this up to the prevalence of rogue and hunter which it runs roughshod over most of the time. It’s worst match up is warrior but only about 10% of my matches are against warrior and all of them have been bomb which is definitely a better match up than control. The next worst match up has been shaman. Both the murloc and aggro varieties tend to run you down pretty well. Druid is more of a coin flip but I’d say they’re slightly favored.

So while it’s totally viable for climbing still, other aggro decks do tend to nudge it out slightly.
