Why would dead Yogg stop sequence

What’s the point of playing 30-40 spells the whole game to watch a satisfying sequence at the end of the game, to just get third spell to kill Yogg and all that time you played dumb spells… gone, useless, boring…

Because he was broken when he didn’t.

Because the needs of a few out weigh the needs of the many. Tournament players are the biggest reason this card was changed. It was deciding too many tournaments upsetting a lot of those players involved.

Even though for the vast majority of us it was an iconic card. One of the reasons we got into Hearthstone. Crazy exciting stuff that only Hearthstone could produce. Pre nerf Yogg was all of those things IMO
But because of the large viewership and actual real life money being on the line. They changed it.
Horrible decision IMO considering the amount of insane things are in the game now.
How can you nerf Yogg and create Shudderwock? Or Tess, Or Zul?

Yogg is tame compared to these cards.

A similar thing happened that caused way more outrage within the large majority of the community, ie us. Was when they decided to hold onto a patch because it would interfere with an upcoming tournament. That extra 3-4 weeks of pre nerf Cublock and Spiteful decks was one of the worst metas in this games history.

Subsequently when the did a surprise patch everyone got just as upset.
And rightly so. They didn’t appease either parts of the community because of the lack of communication.

The lesson is that balancing the game purely around tournament play is a horrible way to go.
Tournament metas are completely different. Bans and counter deck building strategies completely change the game.

If you can un nerf Molten Giant
If you can add Shudderwock Tess and Zul

You can un nerf Yogg
