I don’t get it, throughout the years, they have done QOL changes and improved things for F2P players.
But when it comes to roping, they haven’t even tried to do anything about it. Can’t they at least test reducing the turn timers? Ropers are rampant in this game and it’s horrible playing against them. It’s time consuming and incredibly frustrating. I just had a game that was agonizing, 40 minutes long because my opponent waited until the last second to do anything.
I think reducing the turn timer by even 10 seconds would go a long way to making the experience better. For one patch, reduce the timer by 10 seconds and see how it pans out. Playing against ropers is incredibly unfun
Well I do agree roping in the early game is annoying AF, no reason you should be roping me turn 1, 2 or 3. But once you get further into the round that rope timer can seem quite short when you have multiple cards to think on.
If you really hate rope now, check out a streamer called Lifecoach from back in the first year, he roped every turn and the timer was longer.
I think you need to go play a different game.
The timer has already been shortened once early on.
If you do not have time to wait for it, then I submit that you don’t have the time to play.
Many players need that time for deliberation.
Your ask is flatly ridiculous, and assumes that roping is always deliberate to annoy you.
I reached Platinum 10… and now I just hardcore rope every turn,so that each game lasts a minimum of 15–20 minutes.
It’s actually really fun; even when I lose, I get at least 100–120 XP thanks to the Tavern Pass, since I only play while doing other things—like talking on the phone, eating, or mostly watching Netflix series…
It’s the fastest way to get XP… and it’s super annoying for the opponent… I hope they get really pissed off, just like you. I’m not interested in a higher rank anymore anyway. The main thing is XP for the Tavern Pass.
They don’t fix “you” problems. This game isn’t made solely for you. They give people a set amount of time each turn and people are free to use that time however they want. Maybe they have a good reason why they rope.
Because roping is the only pseudo global rule of the game , be thankful they even have rope ,rope is minor problem , the lack of global rules in the game is the problem.Limit in mana gain , limit the cards you can play every turn , give the choice two exclude 2 classes you dont like to play against. The past 6 years i have zero matches against Priests because i find the most boring and bad designed class to play against and the last 6 years i autoconcede
I think we should stop viewing BM as some kind of sin and embrace it as part of the gameplay:
For many people , half the fun of card games lies in the psychological aspect: reading your opponent, bluffing, baiting reactions, or even getting inside their head. Hearthstone has limited forms of interaction, people can even silence you, so players are going to find ways around that.
We dont need to be perfect gentlemen, or total assh0les either, obviously, theres a line between classy BM and pure frustration, but treating every instance of BM as a moral failure is taking the game too seriously.
I don’t understand the roping problem. Some people need to think. If you’re hysterical, go somewhere else, right? There are boxing, MMA, etc., where there’s almost no time to think. Don’t play Hearthstone. Hearthstone causes:
a dancing belly
poor personal hygiene
waste of your time here on earth (remember, it has a limit)
little real interaction with other human beings
Hearthstone is clearly meant to be used only when you poop in the morning, or if you’re in line at the post office. Afterwards, it has to be quit. Very simple.
