Why a Shaman skin?

We’ve already had a buyable Shaman skin from a bundle not too long ago with the murloc still available.

Why is it that the new bundle features a Shaman skin while Warrior, Druid, Rogue and Hunter only have 2 ?

Don’t get me wrong, I like this new skin but it just doesn’t make sense in my mind to give so many skins to the same few classes meanwhile some are falling behind with only 2 skins available.

This doesn’t seem very fair for those who mainly play one of those 4 classes (this isn’t meant for me, I equally play all classes)

Something similar happened with the release of Sir-Annoy-O… a 4th Paladin skin.

Anyway, what are your thoughts ? Do you agree with me or you don’t care ?

Discuss.

I don’t care a ton but I do agree that I find it very odd that Shaman received this skin.

Shaman seems to be experiencing a bit of a popularity boost after last year’s Flametongue Totem nerf (in Standard). It’s possible that Blizzard goes for more popular classes* under the assumption that it makes demand for those skins higher.

*Accuracy might vary depending on how long it takes to design these heroes, unless they have a bunch of heroes already pre-built and waiting to be used.

Blizzard heard Shamans like blue skinned kings that wear golden crowns, golden armbands, have blue glowing hands and blue glowing eyes.

I thought the skin seems a bit weird to add too.

Either:

  1. They like Lei Shin.
  2. They had unused Lei Shin artwork.
  3. They want to see if sales are good even if skins aren’t unique or just because esports contribution.

Still happy we get new skins though.

This, just got doen reacting to it.

We already got King Rastakhan, Morgl, and now Thunder King.

Meanwhile? Hunter has gotten none. Nor has Warrior. Druid, maybe? (Sure Magni and Alleria are purchasable, but still.)

Boring Shaman got another one. Looks good, I suppose.

Rogue hasn’t gotten one since launch

This is very strange behavior on blizzards part

Minus Maiev, yeah.

So many amazing WoW characters, so much wasted potential.

Think on this, is all I’m gonna say.

You set a “deal” to get some packs an a new hero + cardback for a GREAT deal tbh, only $20.

Now why Shaman when they already have a few options?.. Because denying NEEDED new heroes for other classes will always be used to get people to spend the BIG BUCKS to get.

Example: people we’re begging for a new priest hero. Boom, here it is for only $80.00. Seems fair doesn’t it. They will make a druid hero, warrior, rogue etc when it will be used to get the most money.

Lei Shen is cool and all but I’d like to see some of the other classes get some new heroes.

Maybe Lillian Voss for Rogue, Hamuul Runetotem for Druid, Varian for Warrior and Hemet Nesingwary for Hunter?

+1 and this is the most logical answer in my book outside of “extra artwork” which also seems entirely reasonable as well to me.

Because Garrosh is the best, no need to spend money to buy a cool hero skin

I am still waiting for a good warlock skin, only class that doesn’t have a good skin in my opinion. Guldan is the best atm

Edit: Oh yeah, rogue is meh too

I don’t mind skins even if they are for classes that already have another, but I mind it more when they release stupid skins like Sir Annoyo that have no lore based history or thematically boring.

Because Shaman is the best class in the game.

:volcano:

What about spellblade auluriel (from nighthold) for warrior? Would be female which warr lacks and first nightborne hero

Or azshara for mage the most powerfull mage ever and would be first naga (if thats form they choose).

Inferring there’s any rhyme or reason to blizzard’s actions any more.

Because other people just can’t help nursing a terrible monetization scheme.
