You have queued up to play the game have you not
?
Why are you roping on turn 1 …
5 games I’ve played all ropers, gets tiring after a point and makes you wanna close the game for the day.

It’s people doing the play X games with X class quests. They just que up and then alt tab into the browser until the games are over. That’s what happens when they make you play classes you have no cards for as a quest requirement. Also people are not always single and may be talking or may be eating while playing or whatever.
Every game I played the rope showed up before they decided to do nothing and pass on turn 1.
A very jarring experience playing against this.
Bots - The famous game Botstone
I’ve figured that a lot of roping happens on turns 1-2 and usually stops after that. I suspect people are probably doing other things outside the game really quickly since turns are usually pretty simple early on.
But yeah there’s not much you can do about people roping. You can rope back if you don’t care about wasting your own time (sometimes it works to stop them), but usually I just play as normal and BM them if I get the feeling it’s intentional when I win.
I do agree that there are a lot of ropers though past turns 1-2. I actually am pretty forgiving of people roping and DCing when they lose. Sometimes I get some RNG that I would be pretty mad at too being on the other side lol
bots are fast. so nope.
MTG Arena has an elegant solution: if you CAN’T make a play, your turn ends immediately. Edit: oh, HS players are known throughout the galaxy for their warmth, charm and good manners. /sarcasm
