Paladin runs 10 warden maievs in deck, coins warden maiev on turn 1. Dont have an immediate answer? they snowball and win the game on turn 1. i absolutely despise card designs that win the game on turn one, theres 0 care or attention that went into designing this card. I have conceded on turn 1 against this toxic deck so many times. its even more toxic than hunter, at least with hunter the game is decided on turn 3 or 4. Violet hold is the the most un-fun and ragebait expansion ive seen in over a year. Violet hold just makes me bitter, its one toxic broken thing after another.
Gonna keep it real with you, chief, thatâs a you issue. Of the times iâve gone up against the build (which ainât a ton but done so several times), iâve gotten the win more often than not.
What deck are you using?
The fact you can combine it with Beatrix to get 10 of them in your deck is criminal. Beatrix should exclude legendaries at the very least.
I mean as a fast deck you love to see maiev as they are essentially skipping a turn with each minion which just gives you an extra turn to go face and kill them. Looks like it punishes DH so I can imagine those sophisticated players who can only figure out how to generate and play 1 cost mana cheating cards are having a hard time adapting. I doubt there will be much sympathy there.
youâre just proving my point, if you arent playing a fast deck its an auto-lose. and no im not even playing void DH. i typically play paladin and death knight. my point is if you dont have an immediate answer on turn one you just lose which is just poor card design.
Not really. The Deal is not letting maievs pile.
Against 1 maiev they really to keep replaying It and all that stuff.
But if they get maievs on top of maievs. Youâre done.
Still refusing to share your deck is pretty telling. ![]()
im not gonna give the troll the attention they need. muted/ignored.
Itâs toxic, with spamming 1-2 cost minions some with taunt lets them build a huge stat pile very fast. The 4 cost Devine Shield imbue bird is the cherry on top of this POS pile of a deck!
Then comes the DS spell and 3 hits to break DS minion and the DS+3/3 minion, game over.
Are you sure you âre talking about the same deck as OP mention?
Including 2x flutterwing and toreth in aggro pally could make the winrate drop at least 3%.
Legendaries should not be allowed in the 10x pool, problem would be solved.
Thatâs interesting. âToxicâ is exactly the word I used to describe this deck once I built it an understood it. The deck shouldnât be allowed and is bad design. If youâre playing against the deck and are unable to kill the first warden put down (which can happen to anyone depending on draw) then your chance of losing goes up substantially. If a warden gets put on top of a warden - youâre done.
The best chance anyone has in beating this deck is getting an opponent who had an unlucky draw and didnât get dealt a warden until like turn 3. At that point the paladin stands a pretty good chance of losing. Under a uniform probability distribution the odds of that happening for the paladin should only be 8.9%. Now personally I donât believe even for a second that all cards have an equal chance of being drawn. Hearthstone is using some other type of distribution.
Exactly! Allowing 10x of a legendary that synergizes with itself. How this can be remotely balanced is beyond reason.
Itâs tough to say, but I think that Warden Maiev in Paladin specifically is a bait card. Itâs actually stronger in Zee Shaman because you spend resources removing the 1/3 Goon and then canât remove the Maiev and it snowballs from there into their double battlecries. Paladin just plays some big minions you can ignore and then dies anyway. I was testing Beatrix Maiev and maybe I got unlucky but I lost like all the games I played with it, and I was just dumping stuff on curve. It wasnât rocket science.
I just think itâs too cheap for what it does. I mean, you can spam a lot of low-cost cards onto the board and then buff them like crazy.
