Just read them, and while the changes to weekly quests are definitely good,
the communication, dear god, what was that ? He basically said nothing:
" we didn’t adequately communicate the changes that were coming, or our reasoning for them "

They still haven’t, nor their reasoning for taking a month to come up with this, the only improvement I see is play 10 games instead of win 5.

I read the notes. That was about the absolute least information they could have provided other than no information. Do you really think that’s a good level of communication on an issue like this?

Their communication sucks. My point, though, was simply that this guy Ridiculous Hat is not some bright light in the Blizzard darkness. He’s just a tool in their kit that facilitates their ability to continue deceiving players.

I really like the changes. This allows us to complete most quests naturally. I’ll still probably re-roll Play 5 BGs. But maybe just doing the old “queue in and go afk” method is an option here, too. Start a BG → take a shower → quest advanced. Start a BG → bring the trash carts to the street → quest advanced. And so on. But reducing the Play Minis to 10 is exactly want needs to happen. It encourages you to play a deck with a couple Minis so that over the course of the week, you almost can’t help but play 10 of them. As opposed to coercing you into crafting a deck just to crap out as many Minis per game as possible just to get the chore over with.

These changes are definitely an improvement. I hope they continue their iterations in this directions rather than the previous abomination.

edit: Also, if it’s a somewhat interesting Tavern Brawl that week, now there’s incentive to play it multiple times (if you have that weekly).

Love being able to play 10 games and not have to win (I try my best, but, you know).
Much more enjoyable - very happy with the change!

This is great, I’ve just heard about these new changes that were exactly the ones we’ve asked for about 6 weeks ago when people like me used to play… So it’s not like they changed it because they care about you, they changed them because they realized casual losers like me gave them the middle finger financially aswell with the miniset release…

I’m so glad that so many people like me quit the game. I’m still seething with rage over the arrogance… I’ll forever use every chance to boycott the game I loved for 10 years and they ruined in 2 weeks.

Screw you, whoever you are that did these decisions.

So, what’s the deal with the “Play 10 murlocs quest?”

Why would you force a tribe which never sees competitive play at all anymore?

Why not “play 10 dragons” or “play 10 pirates” or “play 10 mechs”

Playing those at least isn’t trolling

Or make it even more accessible as “Play 10 Minions of the Same Type” and it simply tracks all the minions and when you’ve hit 10 of a single tribe, your quest gets completed. This reinforces the concept the we can continue to play as we normally would and over the course of play, the quest eventually completes. Now you do need to make sure you have at least a few tagged minions types, but I don’t see that as a coerced change to your preferred playstyle.
