Turn Limit Dalaran Heist

Okay so sometimes I like BM and letting my enemy fatigue themselves, especially on hunter when I get the deathstalker rexxar and robes of gaudiness combo with a lifesteal minion. But one game I wasn’t even trying to BM but instead trying to cycle into my scythe, when I finally got my scythe, I no longer had lethal but a pretty good hand, I killed a minion with my scythe and ended my turn. Enemy played, ended turn and we both died. I was so confused and worried my minion wasn’t kept with the scythe, fortunately, it was so when I used the scythe on the same boss, I kept the minion from the tie. But why is there a time limit in single player? I just want to BM with deathstalker rexxar

The 90 turn limit applies for all modes, because if a game has gone on that long, it usually means either someone isn’t trying to win, or circumstances have created a stalemate where neither player can win or lose if both play optimally. In both cases, the rightful winner (or rather lack thereof) is settled.

In short, you didn’t win because you went too long without trying to win.

For a more practical reason, I’ve seen cases of the latter scenario as well. Suppose you get stuck playing against P0G0, because he copied your Elder Taggawag with his power, and all the other cards in the game have been played. You’d just go back and forth drawing Taggawag, playing it to kill the opponent’s copies of it, never getting to attack because your opponent would be doing the same thing.

Opponent would win with Taggawag, as they draw - not sure if that were the case 5 years ago. I just lost a run due to attempting to BM AI and wondered if anyone else had run into the same problem. Sorry for the necro.
