I just had Priest discovery Immortalized in Stone twice and followed it by Flight Maneuvers. Even as a Warrior, I had no way to clear them. This is crazy—you never know what opponent is going to have, and Priest is worst of them because discovery Paladin, so get broke cards too. Priest Imbue should only discovery from its own class cards, not from Paladin or any other. I mean, this type of stuff make Hearthstone not fun.

Rude, goes to show how nice the hearthstone community is. I myself do hate this “discover” meta we are in, it’s a cancer.
I know there’s no reason to be rude. I don’t mean just talking about Priest—it’s overall discovery in HS now. It’s like, why even have a deck build when you can discover everything now? It just feels like randomness.
I’ve been saying this for a long time and it always gets shouted down. Discovery does too much. They just need to turn the dial down a little bit on it. Make it so you can only discover once a turn or you only get two options to pick from.
RNG determines way too many game outcomes and more than that it bogs down the pace of the game
Whether it’s me or my opponent, we’re both taking up to a minute to simply decide which option we want to pick. On turn one somebody is going to rope while they decide which card their Dark Rider offered them that they want to pick
It’s just a part of the game you have to live with at this point. I mean i just had a game where the Rogue randomly generated the Paladin Colossal and played it on turn 4. Not much i can do against that. I just concede and go to the next game. That’s what they want the game to be.

Winning isn’t enough for some players (“Priest mains”). They want to drag out their chemical highs as long as possible. When you’ve lost the match tempo, you know you lost and just leave.
They should just add more randomness. Discover a card.. that card is transformed into another random card when played. Under no circumstance in modern hearthstone should anyone know what the card they have is actually going to do when they play it.
You know, i play this game for quite a while and its never been balanced. It felt fun for a little while after an expansion or miniset, but the rest of the time its just a frustrating garbage fest.
And lately, so much so. And yes, its because of the too much discovery. The mechanic is one of the best and the lack of imagination from devs makes them abuse it. Why bother create some fun mechanic when you can save yourself with a Discover. Why isn’t “Inspire” abused? Or some other crap mechanic?
So the issue is, the meta became a slot machine. You build your deck with meta in mind and no matter how skillful you are, if the opponent DISCOVERS the nuts, you lose.
To quote one of the biggest whiners Zeddy, “its random into random into more random random”.

yep. too much discover with dark gift as well. im just playing rogue until a balance patch hits. i played 3x ultraixon’s and my deathwing costed 0 LMAO.

Just make every class like the whizbang Mage deck, all cards random that change every turn
discover a random spell from any class = discover a spell from a pool oof like 10 spells like wtf is this do it so its actually 60 or all the spells in that pool
