I just want to make a positive post because there are so few. I don’t think anyone REALLY wants this game to fail. They post angrily because they like the game and want it to be a better experience. Unfortunately that sentiment too often is just sore-losers. But even they don’t want the game to fail as much as they say. This game still has potential, if the devs show they care, everyone will be happy. But it is true you can’t please everyone all the time. Let’s not all wish for the downfall so hard if you actually like playing the game. A lot of people just need to learn how to lose, myself included
Keep in mind that developers have no interest in your overall satisfaction. If you had a good gaming experience, well-balanced, with fair matchmaking, and games where the outcome wasn’t decided beforehand in favor of one player, Blizzard’s earnings would plummet dramatically, effectively leading to the demise of Hearthstone. The business model isn’t tied to player happiness like it was in the early years of the video game market. Today, everything is tied to your psyche; every aspect of the game is tied to a desire to induce you to spend by every means possible. If you don’t believe me, look at the closed and ongoing lawsuits on this issue, and you’ll see that these are certainties, not just my opinions.
I have no doubts about any of that. That being said, are you not still here on the forums because you like the game?
The problem is not the game, we are all clearly here complainning about stuff because we love this game and are hopefull that maybe our words will make a change, BUT the sad reality is once you post your frustration is out and you go back to playing and the developers of this game dont make the game thinking people will have fun playing this, they make it thinking how can we hook people while simultaneously making them spend money.
This results in what we are seeing today devs only care about ways they can make money at the players expense, just look at legacy cardbacks sold for 500 gold (actual esport event only cardbacks) or the 300 gold arena with a 50 gold profit for getting 6 wins.
(Don’t get me started on the sands of time fiasco)
Hard to stay positive about a game when this is what is doing.
Well, I do know, but I’m like hey, if we’re gonna ride this train going off the tracks anyways we might as well try to enjoy it lol. I’m by no means against the concept of offering legitimate criticisms. I’m just saying it doesn’t help to be doom and gloom all the time either.
