Just need to stop playing is what I should do. This game got bad the minute they dropped Reno Jackson. You’re winning, but oh wait, due to a bad card being added to the game you’re losing now. 1 lousy card and my opponent could win.
Like how is that good game design? Oh it’ll be fun and mix things up. No. It’ll just piss people off. I was clearly winning and now I just lost because the match is already basically over but my opponent had me down to 15 and I had them down to 2, and now it’s 30 to 15 and regardless how good of a player I am I have literally 5 cards left, one of which was fireball.
Or oh how about when priests were given the ability to keep resurrecting taunt minions that could take one of yours with them? Like how are you supposed to beat that?
Or how about when poisonous was a thing in battlegrounds, but then they became venomous and my top MMR fell by 1000.
I stopped playing wild, the only ranked way I’d play from day 1, two years ago because it became apparent to me that the only way for me to win was play Uther pally. Basically a control deck until I myself would use a bllsht strategy to win because that’s how bad the game had gotten. You have 11 classes and I had other decks I would try in rank, but it seemed the only way to get over 50% wins anymore was basically 1 deck out of 11 classes. There are just too many bad cards in wild that it didn’t seem to matter which deck you’d make. Your opponent would always have a counter.
Or they add Starcraft cards and unless you burn your mage opponent down quick you are 100% guarenteed to lose on like turn 10 when they drop a colossi because in standard you can’t survive being hit for 40?
It’s clear to me that they don’t know how to design a game like this. Every expansion there are some clearly bad cards that no one will ever use. And then there are some stupidly OP cards that they have to nerf almost immediately.
Climbed back to silver 2 and if I could win 4 matches in a row…but I lose 2 with the murloc deck that I could climb with until Thursday. Since Thursday it’s the worst deck I have ever played.
You know you have a good deck because you won 4 in a row, but all of a sudden when wins actually matter your opponent’s one after another have an answer for everything.
It feels like Blizzard going oh we see you’re trying to win so here’s a bunch of ridiculously bad opponents for you to play one after the other.
