This game is a bland boring mess

Title says it all. This game has become a stale boring mess of trash RNG and Net decking garbage slow players. How this game still has players only shows to me that simpletons will play any trash to get a simple fix of feeling like they are achieving anything, this game rewards bad players by leaning on RNG for wins. All that aside, that game and it’s entire bogged down mess is just plain old boring. The dev team for HS has zero original ideas or even clues as to what makes interesting or fun gameplay, this games nothing by a casino pretending to be a skill based game.

Good luck finding a CCG anywhere that doesn’t have any net decking. Such a thing doesn’t exist.

Same for any CCG that doesn’t have rng, the cards you draw and when you draw them is pure rng

other players may disagree, but for me homogenization, and favoritsm killed this game.

For you, the topic you complain about that is different every hour killed this game.

It never fails to amuse me how some here never contribute anything in terms of threads, and exist only to lurk and attack others, even though they will never be acknowledged.
Were someone wanting to ignore me? I would let them.
I live rent free in some people’s minds.

Anyone who thinks it’s right that oh, IDK, Hunter can run an amazing
burn-from-hand spell damage deck in wild, that makes anything mage has ever been capable of look like a sick joke, is merely exacerbating the problems with this game. Because that did not happen in one expansion.
It reflects years of select classes being given what should be classic mage archetypes.
And there are plenty of examples beyond mage.
Homogenization is what made this game boring.
Favoritism for select classes is what makes it impossible to balance.

The RNG stuff of the game does get old, especially when they add the “hey you didn’t like the RNG, lets rewind and do it again!”

It’s just you n 3 other people saying it lol.

You can’t even do the “dozens of us!” meme there’s so few of you. :sob:

The game is a boring mess because its impossible to do any meaningful deckbuilding with the majority of all the cards being noncompetitive pack filler.

They need to start doing a better job of creating useful cards.. rather than 9 mana 6/6s that may or may not be immune.

it reminds me of wow in that I went back to see what it was like these days (60 days). They have made so many pets that no one uses at all, and pet battles are repetitive and underdeveloped, so rather than improve pet battles, they are making almost all future pets non combat lol.

OP is right, the game is nothing but a RNG Gambling fest that has taken all the skill and strategy out of it. I mean to each their own but it’s gotten SO boring. I play once and awhile and check in on updates but when I do most of the updates are re-hashed old minions or they just bring those back. LOL

It seems to be cormpany-wide, lol.
Blizzard is just phoning it in, I think.

Well, I have been enjoying the D4 updates and I always love SC2 Co-ops . . . as for Wow I haven’t played in years so I can’t really comment on that one. But Hearthstone seems to be the one game that seems to be rather bad. But . . . I still play it once and awhile so I guess it’s really my fault for putting myself through it and Battlegrounds is a mess. It’s all about the high-roll or you done within 6 turns.

You make great points here. I’m in complete agreement.

People don’t realize it, but they INTENTIONALLY add garbage cards in expansions and sets. So in a sense they are steering the meta. Also, the good cards vs garbage cards ratio has gotten pretty low in recent expansions.

Their main aim is that all classes have something playable.. competitive wise. That is more or less there.

But i think the biggest issue is that no matter how balanced a meta is… it becomes boring after a while… for me around 1 month. Thats it. ONE MONTH. They need to do buffs/nerfs more often

(Google gemini AI) There are several legal proceedings and sanctions related to the management of randomness and algorithmic transparency in Blizzard games, particularly regarding loot boxes and reward systems:
Transparency Violation (PEGI): In May 2023, the European ratings body PEGI fined Activision Blizzard for failing to explicitly disclose the presence of loot boxes (random paid items) in Diablo Immortal when rating the game.
“Deceptive Practices” Class Action (Hearthstone): In May 2022, a class action lawsuit was filed in California alleging that Hearthstone card packs (functioning as loot boxes) are deceptive. The lawsuit alleges that players spend real money without being adequately informed of the extreme rarity of the valuable items.
Gambling Ban (Belgium): The Belgian Gambling Commission ruled that Overwatch’s loot box system violated national gambling laws. As a result, Blizzard was forced to disable paid loot box purchases in Belgium to avoid criminal penalties.
Addiction Lawsuits: Recently (updated February 2026), several lawsuits have been filed accusing Blizzard of using psychological manipulation and random reward systems intentionally designed to induce addiction, especially in minors, without providing adequate warnings about the risks.
Italian Antitrust Investigation (2026): The Italian Competition Authority is currently reviewing the clarity of the information provided by Blizzard to users regarding the odds of winning and the real costs hidden behind “random” gameplay mechanisms in titles such as Diablo Immortal and Overwatch 2.

Diablo Immortal is LITERALLY a mobile Gacha game. If you went into the game not understanding that it’s on you 100%

As for Hearthstone. Players still pay for cards in the game? That’s news to me. They do everything they can except for just handing you the entire sets for free.
