Yea it’s a pretty good job.

You don’t have to worry about crashing on landing or exploding on the launch pad.

Just press the shiny red button :red_circle::point_left:

Maybe you should stop signing their paychecks if you find they aren’t meeting your expectations.

It’s possible the game doesn’t generate revenue at all. At least in a significant capacity. They may be keeping it in the market as a placeholder in order not to lose the captive audience. One day it either will gain more traction or they will revise it in some meaningful way.

They also may use it as a form of marketing for their other games and as an entry point for younger audiences to become aware about blizzard through mobile games.

I don’t think it generates revenue. I haven’t been able to find anyone interested in the game. I don’t think they can get new players. Anyone I introduce it to doesn’t like it. They just can’t figure it out. Learning curve is too high. In the beginning it attracted all sorts of people. But now it’s just hardcore gamers.

Every mode is now structured to only take time and money from those who play, spending real money is truly a crazy choice today, I personally will never give a cent to Blizzard again, but not only for Hearthstone, I will never give them anything for any game again, for me they can close for bankruptcy

It’s like every expansion we say this is the worst expansion ever. And every single time team 5 says hold my beer and puts out an even worse expansion

And one of the worst things about it is that the players will tell them hey there’s going to be a problem if you release this like this and it falls on deaf ears. Like we’ll tell you what the forecast is going to be and I guess they just don’t care

Quests were always problematic in the past because there were some that were awesome and others that were terrible. The murloc paladin deck was going to be a problem and lo and behold it is because it has a 70% win rate against anything other than murloc paladin

When we were polled about the concept of in-game pets, we said no we’d rather you just balance the game and they clearly didn’t listen to that either. I’m just not going to waste my time giving them feedback next time they send me a poll. There’s no indication they’re listening

I used to buy everything Blizzard made. Every expansion and game. Just to support them and the teams. They did good work at one point. But I haven’t spent a dime on them in the last 5 years. Everything went downhill.

It’s ridiculous. On this evidence they probably don’t even pay for game testers anymore, they just let the players do it and clean up after.

Clownfiesta.

I have played since it came out. I have noticed very few people post on the forums. It’s pretty much the same people every day.
I have a genius level IQ and this tells me that there isn’t as much interest as there once was. There is not enough players now to match people of the same rank. That is why they removed the rank thing. Unless you can think of a better reason.

I assume at t his point it is the whales that keep this game running. The people who want to collect them all and all the golden cards. Like those people who spend a $100,000 a year on BDO.

Oh, the blizzard forums have always been this way.

You have to go to the real forums and communities to find actual humans (icyveins, hearthpwn, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, etc).

Just C.H.U.D. ‘s diving in these here Golakka Depths. There’s a reason other people don’t congregate here. I wonder if you can figure it out— Einstein.

We are witnessing a total implosion of Hearthstone, everywhere from social media to this awful forum, people everywhere are rightly complaining because they have understood what kind of scam system is hidden within Hearthstone. Have fun, all of you who give money to Blizzard!

You must realize the posts and tone on this forum have never changed.

It’s a bit staggering when you Google search certain keywords and find a post with lexical patterns that match complaints lining up with the current expansion only to realize they’re the same things people were saying eight years ago. Often the same problems, about the same decks, about the same classes, and about the same cards. The posts say the same things about other players and they’re saying the same things about the developers.

This doesn’t mean the company isn’t learning or the problems are consistently being produced. This would imply the problems experienced in this media and design space are consistent and so are the methods to interact with them. Meaning blizzards interactions and our interactions are stable overtime. Think about the way you are stable overtime on this forum. The stability of your social behavior. The stability of your lexical patterns. The stability of your toxicity. The stability of my toxicity.

It’s if maybe there’s only one or two people here making 1,000 accounts using ChatGPT -10.0 to create evolutions of the same script. It’s bewildering truly. I’m sure someone at blizzard has experienced emotional perturbations from it.

This is where the most toxic commenters contribute. Yes we’re not always toxic. We are thankful and add positive things too. However, other forums have much more positive social valence than these forums ever registered.

The forums were not always this way. I was here since the start. I have had this blizzard account itself since 2007.
Yeah. When I speak you should always listen. I have read and seen it all in the world of warcraft forums and in these forums.
