You’re talking about a game mode where aggro decks can kill you by turn 3
The earliest the sword can come up with the best opening hand is turn 4
Either they play a control style deck and only get the sword by turn 8+, which in wild is already very late game, or they play a deck built around it which is extremely weak to aggro. In both cases they play a bad deck and deserve to win if the meta decks don’t do their job
its not entirely impossible to defeat it but you would have to have some specific decks for it. cards wich mindcontrol, remove from game, change enemy minions into other minions or silence to deal with boars so they cant ress them or cards that summon trash units for them so they might not be able to ress the boars.
And if they equip the sword you can actually outlive it with some taunt minions, especially if they have divine shield, reborn or summon lower tier taunt minions on deathrattle.
i win most games against people playing this deck, often make them quit within a few turns because i devolved their boars as a shaman. but i assume some aggro deck can take them out quickly enough. a milling deck or some curse warlock and others can deal with it pretty well
the sword is very strong, but the way to get it isnt always as easy to pull off. if it were that easy, more people would play it in wild. But you rarely see priests running the sword
Silence doesn’t do much against that deck
The first 6 boars don’t have to trigger their deathrattle for the 7th to equip the sword
Outliving the damage isn’t really an option either. The deck has enough to summon 10 extra swords if needed
Aggro sometime isn’t enough if the deck gets a good boar+removal hand
But disruption is pretty good as you said, especially transformation effects
well you dont need to silence the first 6 boars ofcourse, but if they did summon 6 of them already a silence is pretty useful. but i prefer to devolve or mindcontrol the boars to not let them to get that amount
Kenneth…were you beaten up frequently in younger days?
