Suprise! Murlocs! card working as intended?

So why does this card only summon one murloc, when the text says “When drawn, summon a random amount of murlocs”?

Have you seen it summon more than one? Am I missing something?

I’ve seen a single copy summon two murlocs many times and three murlocs a couple of times.

From my experience it tends to be less powerful if drawn early (a turn 1 draw is almost always a single Tinyfin) and increasing in power as the game goes on with a growing chance of multiple murlocs that are also higher quality. Not that a free turn 1 Tinyfin is bad, it might just be exactly what you need to prevent the opponent from spiralling out of control, it’s just not the same powerlevel as a one-card Old Murk-Eye + Warleader.

Stronger murlocs and more of them get summoned the longer the game goes on.

This text is false, it’s not what the card does.

The card summons X amount of murlocs up to Y mana cost.

X = based on the number of turns passed. It appears to summon 1 extra murloc by every 10 turns passed.

Y = (Number of turns divided by 2) - 1.

So, in the first 2 turns, it will always summon ONE random murloc up to 0 cost. (that means it will always symmon Tinyfin, because it is the only 0 cost murloc).

At turn 11, it will start summoning 2 random murlocs up to cost 4 (so, any murloc in the game).

Against the Plague Lord I saw it summoning up to 4 murlocs at once.

But it is NOT random, it is always a fixed amount based on turns passed.
