Since Hearthstone’s goal is to be deceptively simple… Why hasn’t the ability “Also damages the neighbors of the minion that this attacks” get shuffled down to “Cleave”?
Because it’s not worth it. In the total collection, there are only six minions with this ability, three weapons with that ability and one spell that grants it.
Making a new keyword for just one card in an entire expansion doesn’t make it simpler.
It’s less about simplifying things and being able to glance at a card and know what it does without reading a lot of text.
I dunno if I agree with that, but I don’t think it’s a huge deal either way.
Keywords are indeed made for that reason. But that only works if it’s something that’s recurring. If it’s something that’s been used in only one expansion four and a half years prior, and only on two cards, the keyword is only going to confuse people, which is why Phase Stalker and Dragonbane don’t use the Inspire keyword. And there are more Inspire cards in The Grand Tournament than there are cards that use “cleave” in total.
Keyword Idea I hade was call Bloodlust
basically for line minions who trigger if a minion on board is hurt (it clear witch class is going be closes to this Keyword but what Keyword this days not close to a class)
also i think Cleaver already a Keyword in wild
