Suggestion: Add official support for deck trackers and game

Hello Hearthstone team,

I would like to suggest an important idea for mobile players.

On PC, players have access to many third-party programs that provide a lot of useful tools, such as:
• Tracking board damage automatically.
• Showing what cards are left in the deck.
• Tracking the opponent’s played and remaining cards.

These tools give PC players a big advantage compared to mobile players, who have to do everything manually.

My suggestion is to officially add similar features directly into the Hearthstone mobile app. You could make it part of an optional subscription or premium service if needed.

This would help mobile players enjoy the game more fairly and competitively, without needing external tools.

Thank you for considering this idea. I really hope to see it in the future!

Desktop does not have any additional official support either for it. Third parties just read the log files and parse them (you can do it yourself btw if you know programming (they are in the Logs folder of Hearthstone every match you play)).

I suppose the logs also exist on mobile but the mobile phones have a hard time running 2 apps at the same time on top of each other.

Maybe a “split-screen” android phone would do it easily. I mean the functionality some phones have that show 2 apps together.

PS as for the Devs doing it themselves, basically forget it in my opinion, because they are obviously trying to keep Hearthstone too simple and they don’t add anything complex like that themselves ever.

I personally hate 3rd party aps because they ruin aspects of the game that can showcase skill expression/knowledge, such as remembering what cards are in your deck or what you are looking to draw. Instead, this is not a skill, as people just look over and see what is in their deck and are looking for.

I personally love it when games used to reward you for this knowledge and remembering what you are doing/piloting, but now a days games remove that and it just becomes a game of “do the combo everyone else does” being the only skill expression.

I actually stopped playing hearthstone due to the arena deck trackers back when I only played arena. This removed the skill aspect of knowing what is good in arena, and good for your deck. You just have an AI assistant pretty much tell you what to pick instead of having to make your own, human decision, which made the mode more enjoyable when you would perhaps pick the wrong card, or pick good cards.

I just try to play games now a days, but I still voice my opinion on disliking 3rd party aps. Gaming is so casual now a days that I don’t see us ever going back to hard core games.

Yes, you’re right. However, what I’m hoping for is that Blizzard would add such assistant features officially in Hearthstone.

For example, what’s the problem with adding two small circles on the battlefield? One could show the total attack on my side and the opponent’s side.

Also, a green circle that I can tap to see my remaining deck, and a red circle to view the cards my opponent has played.

Blizzard is a huge company with excellent developers, and I believe my suggestion wouldn’t be too hard for them to implement.
