Stopped playing Druid when they destroyed its class identity

Druid used to be my main class but I haven’t played it since 2021.

To me, druid has always been balanced with ramping, big minions and AOE spells.

About a year or more ago, Druid identity was taken away, leaving them with ramping and ramping and ramping. No big minions, no AOE, it became a Rogue like cult class. All mighty prince of the nature now become a sad person who loves cheating and hanging out with a cult of small minions.

It’s a very sad sad situation–most classes have kept their class identity but Druid (and Mage to a lesser degree).

If we were to pigeonhole every class into an “identity,” that leaves little room for change. Identities need to evolve.

The lack of decent AOE has always been a big Druid Weakness

He probably meant “aoe buffs”.

The only class identity that should not be allowed is greed priest.
