Solarian prime bug

Solarian prime has spell dmg 1. He cast flameward 3 dmg only. I have screenshot

If you have a screenshot then post it, there’s a pinned post on this forum telling you how to link images. Also, remember that if the Solarian Prime was dead when the secret triggered, it wouldn’t have benefited from the Spell Damage.

did he just play the secret or did the secret activate with solarian prime on field?

He played the secret

spell damage is only applied when a spell is activated, it doesnt give any passive buffs to be used later to spells.

Idk how to post image but when u have spell dmg your spells have dmg change like from 3 to 4*

Unless I’m mistaken, the screenshot shows you hovering a Flame Ward secret that is in play, while you have a Solarion Prime on the field. And the card picture that shows when you hover the secret does not reflect the spell damage. Is that correct?
As far as I know, the spell damage would be shown if you looked at the copy of the secret in hand. It would also be applied when your hero is attacked to trigger the secret with Solarion Prime still in play.

I don’t know whether Blizzard ever intended the spell damage to be shown in this specific case, or whether they made the choice to always show the vanilla version. I do agree that it can be confusing, and that it would be better to always show the spell damage.

EDIT: Just did a quick test against the innkeeper. No matter which source of spell damage you use, Flame Ward does show the increased value in hand, does deal the increased value when triggered, but does not show the increased value when you hover the secret icon on your hero.
Whether a bug or not is not my call to make, but at least I can confirm that this is not related to Solarian Prime.
