Don’t remove Duels!
How much space could you be saving in the app? How much work could it really be to update?
Wild is a mess, and there’s nowhere else where I can use most of my cards! I’ve been collecting these cards for 10 years and I like playing with them! Duels is the most varied mode in the game, if only for the fact that people can’t always choose the class they want, so meta dominators won’t ever be 75% of the opponents we face like often happens on ladder.

I also have a serious issue with this. Many of the cards I’ve been paying for I’ve acquired specifically to use for duels decks. Soon they will be useless to me. The only way to do this fairly would be to allow full value for any card ever used in duels. I’m disappointed you’re removing my favorite mode and feel cheated out of three years of card collecting.
I agree, Duels is all i ever play except to Tavern Brawl to get the pack and then back to Duels. I play it Duels every day. I will step away if its gone for good as the other modes dont interest me.
I agree, duels are one of the most interesting modes in this game. I have more fun playing duels than any other mode, even if I lose. It is a shame if they remove this, at least keep the casual mode active if getting packs and gold is problem. I spent 90% of the game time playing duels and this news hit me really bad. I think I will uninstall this game because of this. Not to mention opportunity to play with old collection which will become useless. How can we make petition to keep duels, at least casual?

Played my last duels this morning. I found the prospect of playing Standard to be unpleasant at the moment, and so with nothing else to do, I turned the game off.
An idea I had for this is as follows:
Understandably, casual duels doesn’t make money (same reason there’s no “casual arena”), so just axe that part of it. And having an entry fee AND requiring a collection to build your deck with is too high of a barrier of entry for a lot of players, hence the low popularity. If it was changed to an entry fee only mode, I think having all cards be available to deckbuild with is fine. You’re “renting” the cards the same way you “rent” the cards when drafting an arena deck.
Duels are a great mode.
We really enjoyed playing in it.
Space was not an issue, but the amount of work required to maintain the mode exceeded what the managers at Blizzard were willing to pay, when compared the amount of money it brought in.
And every new expansion, Constructed balance patch and general gameplay change to the game would have required work for Duels to prevent it from being accidentially broken.
Then there was the incident with cheated/hacked decks, which apparently was not an easy & quick fix to handle (outside banning the accounts cheating, which is a short term solution anyway).
I’m not happy about a mode getting removed, I can just understand why the decision was made.
Support the topic. Bring back the duels. It was the most interesting mode in the game!
100% agree. I played because of Duels, and occasionally Battlegrounds. I bought packs because of Duels and because I wanted to support Hearthstone. I certainly have no intent to buy packs anymore, and I doubt I’ll play much anymore. Playing ranked is not fun- every season there are only 4 or 5 “good” deck archetypes that everyone copies, and that it not fun for me to play against. Wild is not much better.
Bring back Duels.
We need duels back! Like now. It was my daily dose of chaos. I need it back!!

this is probably one of the worst decisions blizzard has ever made, duels was my favourite game mode and provided me with some of the most exciting and chaotic combat I’ve ever experienced in Hearthstone. I’ve spent thousands of essence on cards for decks that I’ll never be able to play again, I feel robbed and disregarded.
So is this a done deal? What could we do as a community? Clearly Duels was the best mode for many players, which could impact the business case…
Duels was the most fun for me to play…Now i do some battlegrounds,but really the fun is not the same. Bring Duels back please, i am thinking of stopping playing hearthstone now…the game i always loved to play …
Imagine killing a mode because doing a basic function of your job is …“too hard.”
I mean, they could hire more competent people.
Edit: but it’s apparently not “too hard” to make sure they spam the shop with new mercstone bundles every week.
Still miss duels. I play less hearthstone than I used to. As you rise up the ladder, things get more monotonous as people are only playing meta decks, and playing ladder against the same 3 decks all day isn’t as good.
Im all for duels coming back the current modes are just boring after a short while and its disinteresting
They should have made Duels Wild, as in every card is legal, so they could have only focused on the treasures.
I miss it too, other modes don’t compare. However I am now gathering gold with no heroic mode to spend it on. At least I won’t need to spend real money on the mini sets anymore.
