Rope burn issue (Solution)

I have seen many posts regarding the burning rope issue and player’s prolonging there turn to annoy the other player, I’ve seen other games deal with similar issues and a smart solution I saw one of the games came out with was Instead of having 75 seconds per turn, give us a 450 (not sure what number would be good) second timer for the whole game that way in the early turns people will try to play as fast as posible to accumulate time for the later turns, and since you dont know what type of late game you will face you will instinctively play fast to stack time.

Pd: 450 seconds each player wich would make the game no longer than 15 minutes max (not sure what people’s opinion on this number is)

Being annoyed by someone fully using all their available resource as they see fit is a choice.

Problem is when you are using resources just to waste time of others after 100 games that time is important and I think giving each player a total timer for the whole game would fix this

No it wouldn’t, believe it or not there are people who would drag out their turn to whittle the timer just to troll

This completely destroys control matchups
There are lots of matchup in which games can be 30+min long without anyone roping intentionally

yeah dint think about that one haha

What would happen when you spend your 450 seconds?

I would say that you only get the rope every turn if those 450 sec are over. Badically like a Nordormu.

That could work. I love the idea.

That would be a cool idea 450 seconds per player and once those 450 seconds are finished you get roped every turn at the start, so 20 seconds per turn after the 450 seconds expired.

People that defend it are the ones doing it. They are toxic weirdos that can’t win unless they try to piss someone off. There needs to be bans for this. They’re even roping the mulligan screen at this point.

If you do this, no - you aren’t taking that long to think about your turn 1 move. You’re being a toxic loser and need to be banned.

What control matchup? Every game is roll the dice. So it really does not matter. You would just not need to wait longer to see what game already decided who wins. I am all for it!

No, it really isn’t. Don’t want to waste time? Concede and move on.

Conceding only gives them what they want and costs the losing player. Why should I lose rank when the other person is doing something intentionally to get under my skin?

Because you deserve it. If you can’t handle people using all the resources the game gives them to win, you don’t deserve to win. What’s next? Complaining they used all their available mana crystals?

Looks like we found a Roper… LOL!

Isnt this similar to the system MTG Arena has?

You get a timer every single game for your turns that reset each game and can occumilate into longer times for control players

Adding some sort of timer for Hearthstone roping could be a great idea but the issue MTG has is people just waste even more time when they know they’ve lost

Or, they could address the fact that RNG and broken decks determine every game so that there aren’t slobs who deserve to be roped, such as:

Mindless aura pallies, rush decks doing 30 damage on turn 5, Herald shaman, etc, all of which depend on getting spoon fed wins

Degens who emote like their presence had any affect on the outcome.

Im so sick of wasting time in this game.. opponent ropes since turn 1. Its like playing with bots every time.

Why are you legend and still play like a snail? I dont get it. Once you get legend you should have a timer. You’re in the big league now, stop stalling you lunatics!!

Those who can’t attack the argument attack the person isntead.

Oh, and I don’t need to rope to win. Doesn’t mean it bothers me when others do it. Which is, apparently, too complex for you to understand.

No one needs to rope to win. Blizzard decides that for us. Only feature we have real control of is conceding.

While chess master players, take less than 1 sec to make their play, the “genious” that play this game need almost 60 sec.
