Report: Rope Burn - Required

We really need a method via the in-game reporting system that we are always directed to use, to report players that habitually Rope-Burn their opponents, either as a form of harassment, or as disrespect for others. How should we classify and report it under the current system? Inappropriate Chat - harassment, as it is a form of non verbal communication?

How long has end of turn rope burn been a feature?

How many complaints have you received about this?

How many times have you tried to address it with meaningful and measurable outcomes?

Funny, because they had that already and removed it

Reallly? I guess common sense and an interest in addressing harrasment appears to have escaped them. Too much work for them to promote a positive experience for customers. I suppose.

Players should have 10 seconds to play.

You shouldn’t use words you don’t understand

I doubt that reporting does anything these days but I usually report them for purposely losing being they are purposely roping and playing like a sore loser.

Roping is also very bot like. So either one is better than nothing.

Removed which?

  1. Rope Burn?
  2. Ability to Report habitual use of Rope Burn for harassment?
  3. The complaints surrounding player use of Rope Burn for harassment?
  4. Meaningful and measurable outcomes to combat Rope Burn used as a harassment tool?

Agree 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000%

None of this queued up 40 card plays/draws, etc. When the rope ends. That’s it, all the rest is lost.

(need I actually inform other Blizzard customers AGAIN, you are a troll, and appear to solely through your posts. try to diminish, debunk, or otherwise invalidate anything said negatively towards Blizzard)

Here’s how I understand the word:

ha·rass·ment

/həˈrasm(ə)nt,ˈherəsm(ə)nt/

noun

  1. aggressive pressure or intimidation.

Do you have some different interpretation of it’s meaning?

This is why I have been gathering evidence over two years, and have finally reached out to their legal department at legal@blizzard.com, in the very least to further build evidence of their inadequacies.

If you feel intimidated by someone using all the time the game gives them, seek help. If you don’t feel intimidated, it is not, by your very own understanding, harrasment.

Same goes for feeling pressured.

When someone ropes you.. rope it back.. usually working for me.. they stop roping if they see it has no effect on me or my playing.. roping is for pathetic idiots..

lol why do people hate ropers so much. Its just a strategy like any other in the game.

No roping is not strategy.. it is just a bad behavior which is making ppl waiste time so try to make them concede.. or make mistakes by becoming upset.. but when their time is also waisted… then don’t like it anymore..

I don’t get you people.. There is a TIMER for every player and they get to use their time AS THEY SEE FIT.

Its pathetic you want to report someone for using THEIR TIME as they seem fit.

Using all the time or just sit and wait for the rope to burn every turn are two different things.. after turn 5 some times I need to use all the time as well to make the right decision.. and my rope start to burn as well.. but in turn 1-2 when you have nothing to think about basically.. it’s just a bad behavior.. These players not need to be just reported.. but also banned for 1 month atleast to learn some good manners.

Guys, friends, comrades its as simple as turn 1 and 2 - 30 second timer

3 and 4 - 1 minute timer

5 and 6 1.5 minute timer

7 + 2 minute timer

Something like this might work

Is this not the same as a stall deck? I used to rope all the time but have given it up but it was usually to just counter stall decks. Like if you want to play a deck that is just full of counters and clears you should have to take 20-35 mins to win. I am not gonna just quickly end my turn and advance to the later rounds while you sit there and gain armor waiting to drop one of your 10 clears/counters and have no offense.

Also report the reporters

Anyone who has the game entirely decided for them as they ride passenger on the RNG train, and doesn’t have to win on merit, strategy, or intelligence, deserves to be roped. But then it’s pretty rare to ever see a legitimate game in which anyone was an active participant. Win 8 games in a row one day due to utterly perfect draws, next day lose the same in a row to some degen that emotes thinking they had anything to do with the outcome. Perfect rope candidate. Or the slobs who pay to play the newest broken deck. The Herald shaman slobs should also be roped due to being so shameless.
