Where do the increased odds of 50g quests factor in to this equation?
How will battlepass work? From my understanding, F2P canāt utilize battlepass (if only by money)
Dust is co-related to packs, in turn related to gold. How does purchasing dust differ from purchasing packs?(via gold)
Well if we follow your logic, letās compare LoR to Hearthstone after GvG expansion instead then, itās still not even close. I played both games casually at that stage, in Hearthstone I never even got close to a full collection, in Runeterra I own every single champion and enough shards to buy most of the champions from the next expansion as well without spending a single penny on cards.
And thatās fair.
Wait, you have enough resources for the 39 champs in August?
Pretty sure itās 33 champions per expansion and not quite yet, but I will very likely reach that point during this month. You get a champion wildcard every single week and enough shards for at least one more champion, not to mention region rewards and random drop upgrades. Playing a CCG monetized around cosmetics feels very refreshing and I really wish Hearthstone would adopt something similar.
The wheels on this thread fell off back on the first pageā¦ this thing spun out into a tree, burst into flames, got peeād on to extinguish, and combusted againā¦
I went to sleep reading all this when it only had 62 posts lmao
Wish we could buy cosmeticsā¦ They introduced the rotating shop ages ago and we got 1 new hero I think (Sylvanas) and Khadgar returned for a week. Just make more skins and also return some old ones people might have missedā¦
Those numbers only add up if they rotate one of the 7 existing regions out. Adding an 8th region adds 6 to the second expansion.
The third and fourth major expansions are the unknown factor. If we assume they expect a rotation in 2022 they may not fully catch up those new regions, but even if they donāt it still adds 5 more than the second expansion to the third one, and 6 more than the third one to the fourth one.
If they stabilize at 10 regions, then itās going to be 30 per major expansion after that.
And remember, we donāt know if they add champs in the minor expansions.
All Iāll say on monetization is that itās 110% gameplay for me. I donāt care if they give me a few more free packs, decrease the legendary timer, sell dust and bundles constantly, if Iām not having fun I wonāt play, let alone spend cash. Heck, even a free Highlander Mage, no duplicates and better ranked rewards didnāt spark my interest for two weeks.
If I enjoy a game, Iāll spend money on it and support the company. Hearthstone frustrates me too often and I get tired of feeling like Iām pulling the lever on a slot machine every time I invest time into playing, so I donāt play.
Best morning read everā¦
Iād like to see a 30% increase in gold earnings per month. That would equate to about 1000g increase. Thatās 10 packs, 400 dust, 10 arena tickets, some adventures or whatever other gold sink gets created next.
Weāve seen more places to spend gold but little to increase how much we can earn.
woah i knew what type of thread this was going to be as soon as i saw cardmaster trying to advertise again
didnt think it would get that bad
To be fair, LoR lets you choose which cards you unlock AND gives you class specific progression tracks.
So weād actually have an easier time getting the new expac through LoR rather than RNG hearthstone packs
WE have that
we have that
Coming soon
we have that
we have that
1 pack is more than enough.
