No more purchaseable mini sets, instead there will be added cards to classes during an expansion.
We don’t have info yet on how many and how to get them.

oh okay. so the only reason to hoard gold is being eliminated outside of purchasing packs. eh, im not exactly fond of the idea but without more info im not against this decision just yet.

Yes, there has been no info yet how exactly this will be implemented. It’s an interesting idea but we will have to wait and see.

I think this is a terrible idea. If they would add cards to each classes in different mini sets to force players buy more mini sets than one if they want to play multipple classes in each season.. Then we could explain this by money making.. But if they just give some new cards only to a few classes instead of all of them in a mini set.. then this might result in horrible balance issues… Because some classes might have much more options than others.. which is already a huge problem in the current game.

It’s not really like all the current options in mini sets were relevant
If they make cheapers bundle or even give them for free while not printing unnecessary fillers, it’s not a big loss

This thread needs more attention. We all want something to be excited about when the mini-sets are released. Taking them away in no fun. Please blizzard. Don’t mess this up for everyone

Well we don’t know yet how this is going to be so there’s no need to dramatize over it.
And at this stage they won’t change their plans for the next expansion (at least not from feedbacks that precisely can’t be feedbacks since we don’t know)

Instead of using a gold sink they are moving to a pay for getting basis…Smells like microsoft… And to be honest, it’s a good direction, whoever wants to play HS pays for it. They remove haters they remove everything…I am all for that, make hs pay to play, introduce pay to win stuff, show to everyone that, that is the right direction…

Good thing they are going that way, hope it’s the end of blizzard.

Source ? They never said class sets would require payment in the spotlight, which is the only time they talked about it, at least that I know of.
Literally all the information we have about it is

Instead of adding a couple of cards to all 11 classes in a mini-set, we’ll deliver a bunch of cards to a few classes at a time.

I want something to be excited about between expansions beyond wether or not it’s a good value

I wouldn’t say it’s a good direction at all. Definitely on par with something Microsoft would try. Once free to play is no longer an option, then this game is officially dead because they won’t have a big enough player base.

Which leads me to believe that it won’t be dead if it becomes a pay 2 play game since there’s so many people already spending money on it.
