Its crazy how one quest (murloc paladin) is in 9 out of 10 games on Standar and Wild mode, every game there’s a Murloc Paladin, there’s no variety in the games anymore.
If they nerfed the Zergs by giving them 1+ health, they should do the same with the paladin quest… It’s surprising how they nerf cards and don’t focus on the problem that many people complain about!
They nerf a " murloc " who buff other murlocs to draw cards ", but that was not the problem !

Players complain about the decks that counter theirs, and stagnate in mmr bands that have a lot of the same kinds of decks.
You are mistaken. According to HSGuru, in Standard Diamond 4-1, Quest Paladin is only 4.7% of the meta. Furthermore, there are 13 decks in that rank range with higher win rates than Quest Paladin.
The decks I’d keep an eye on are Aggro DH and Handbuff/Beast Hunter. Those are at around 60% win rates.
Also, Protoss Priest is at 22% popularity. I don’t necessarily think that popularity should be a factor, especially when it’s only a 54% win rate deck and there are 8 better decks out there. But I know some people don’t like it when a deck is too popular.
Could always join the Rogue outfit. We need more desperate souls.
I’m still climbing, after I hit legend I’m going back to trying to make a viable shuffle Rogue

I’ve played like 12 decks and find quest pally incredibly oppressive against all my decks. Its why quit playing against paladins for weeks now. Best decision I could make.

Is not a mission nor a quest. Is just a buff: all 5 murlocs there become stronger…
The problem is not that it isn’t the strongest deck, it’s that it creates a meta where you have to play MORE aggressive decks to beat it, since murloc pally can take out the control/otk decks so there’s nothing to keep the other aggressive decks in check.
Hence the meta we have today, and why all the other quest decks struggle.

Its just the health… some murlocs came down and I thought I could clear SOME on 6 while losing a High Templar as a trade off… it was game over actually since they all had minimum 3 health
Another 14 damage to my face on turn 6… they had a Crusaders Aura and 6 minions since I couldn’t remove any… so like 26 damage? idk … I had 11 health on 6

so we are taking " a page " vs a person who encounter a lot of paladins ? Today i played against like 20 and 18 was quest … and u are saying is only 4.7% of the meta ?
And if you are taking the ranks from diamond onwards, then we are already wrong, since the vast majority are from gold down and from platinum up there are the “tryhards” or “asian” since I have been in platinum+ I have found an incredible amount of people with Asian names
And also, having to turn off your brain just to beat a deck is boring and the game stops making sense, we are supposed to be playing Hearthstone, not YU-GI-OH so that only 1 card (mission) can have so much impact in a game.

Yes. I tend to look at Diamond 4-1 as a good range, since those are very competitive ranks. I also look at Top 5k Legend, since that comprises highly skilled players and weeds out a lot of the “dumpster” Legend.
That’s true. There are a lot of players in those ranks. I typically end up in the low Plat to high Diamond ranks myself. (This month I got to D1 with two stars… so close!). Anyway, HSGuru doesn’t have a category for Gold or Plat unfortunately. But they do have one for “All” ranks. And in “All” ranks, Quest Paladin sits at 4.4%. Now to be fair, there are probably not as many data points for the lower ranks, since those players are not very likely to use a deck tracker and even less likely to include a plug-in to send that data to a tracking site. Even so, it would strain credulity to suggest that even with HSGuru showing a 4.4% popularity, the actual popularity is really 90% (i.e. the 18 out of 20 you encountered).
If anything, the decks that I think ought to be looked at for balance adjustments should be Aggro DH, Hunter (Beast and Handbuff), and Aggro Paladin (not Quest).
Whats more crazy is how irrelevant the player is in the match. Every match is determined by RNG, win or lose.
I log on to do my dailies and of course it’s one murloc paladin after another just like every other day in the life of a D5 player. I’ve gotten to the point where I’ll rope them for a while until I get bored and then I just close the app
I have zero respect for people who run that deck. I suspect half of them are bots anyway. How hard can it be to write a script for that deck. Play quest. Play murlocs. Win
Yeah but how much better is it if you put a lot of thought into a strategy for what your opponent is playing, make good plays, and then it’s all screwed by an opponent “discovering” an astoundingly lucky card, or drawing so perfectly they might as well have flipped the deck over and hand picked the cards. Or not drawing what you need when 15% of your deck are playable counters. Murloc Pallies are whatever. I have zero respect for RNG welfare recipient wins, which are nearly every match the way the game is designed. Players who don’t have to earn their win get a rope.
The hunter deck is worse than RNG. Every hunter I’ve played is practically guaranteed the exact same opening hand that ends the game on turn 3. Absolutely no intelligence required.

“The Demon Seed” warlock deck absolutely wrecks most decks in wild right now and can take you to Legendary.
Once you get to Legendary, it’s trash.

wild too! how strong does a standard deck have to be in wild to succeed?
Great beginning of november.. played from bronze to silver/gold.
11 of 17 enemies were Pala (65%).
2 of these 11 were not Murloc Pala.
Yea I am done. Wild isnt even an alternative anymore. Guess I will play something else for a while.
